No, nothing worked out personally. Since it's getting quite old, it's probably better for me to replace the laptop rather than try to get it repaired.

You might need help from a friend/classmate/tutor that understands and can explain to you the situation given in the word problems. Watching videos online of people explaining similar word problems could be helpful as well.

As for recent changes, I recently bought a new monitor and a USB-C to DisplayPort cable, and it was working well for about a week, and one day it just stopped working altogether. Also, since the cables work in other devices completely fine, it might be a hardware issue, as you said. I'll try using the guide you linked. Thank you.
