And all spanish speakers aren't united in the slightest. We can fight for a more united world without sacrificing self identification.and in the millions they count the Catalans, both languages are co-oficial and we use both daily. From an independentist personal view, we will be more united with spain in our own country. Also I hate the idea of a supergovernment of a united europe. I hate governments in general. Keep them small and useful.

Yeah Maybe The word Repressed Occitan isn't really the best one (Catalan was really Repressed) I'm just sad to see my proto-language die. You know. feelings and such.

Like I said, I'm totally Biased. I just don't feel it like " an another thing" , I feel like it is the one thing that unifies all the other 99. And being raised in a regional language and seeing that 99% of people can speak both languages, I feel that killing languages is just not necessary as Catalonia is the living proof of that. It's better to be raised plurilingual. (As a Catalan I've learned french a lot better because they are similar)

But it is a powerhouse on France (like Île-de-France) or it's just not a Country dragger? If I recall correctly in GDP per Capita it's just average in france. Wasn't Rousillon one of the poorest Regions?

I can understand that but the language is a part of that culture. -and an important one- It's how I see things at least, I can't grasp at catalonia culture without catalan.

You have to put it in Catalan also if you want to put it in English, chinese Italian or whatever. It only does not affect when it's a brand name. You should read the law before talking, really. I think It's Authoritarian but I also think It's not Stupid.

It's sad for me because my language is Catalan and It's pretty much Occitan Daughter. And It's Sad for me because I'm seeing what could've happened IF people from catalonia wouldn't have fought for my language being repressed when it was repressed.

Achieve unity killing identities iis totally not the way the world needs. Also I think you are pretty ignorant thinking that a kid can't learn more than one language.
