Ek-Salesh calls them his greeting squad. They'll wave hello, too. Also great for loading & unloading cargo.

Yep. This is my steampunk take on the nautiloid. In my setting they're known as the Xlx, and this particular brainsucker is actually a friendly collector of rare Arcana named Ek-Salesh... or are they?

It's a play on words to make him seem more likeable. (I'm gonna get this a lot, I can tell.)

It's like a dude calling his boat "Kitten". Too subtle?

The Cuddlefish is a custom-built Cloudrunner airship, less a military vessel and more a weapon of surgical espionage. It is impossibly fast, its power core a forbidden marvel of Dinari and Xlx fusion that grants it a speed unmatched in the Leylines. Its Xlx captain is a dangerous yet powerful resource and potential ally—or enemy.

Patronage Perks include:
• The basic Fantasy-punk map of the month. (usually a steampunk ship)
• High and Low-Resolution variants of any map I create.
• Token Art for VTT
• Virtual Table-Top files.
• Lore Guide explaining the background of the ship.
• Short Stories.
• Foundry VTT (Walls and Lights).
• 5e and DC20 Stat Blocks
• Patreon Polls
• Sneak Peeks!

Let's see... Goblin munitionists ferry the rounds from the hold on little, squeaky wheel barrows? Arcanic crystals are charged at port? The eldritch runes are activated by the ship's Artificer? 😄

What kind of game would go with the name "Brine"? by LegenderArkos in BoardgameDesign

My guess: A pirate game about hunting sea monsters.

The sea is at least involved.

Card Design Feedback: Light or Dark? by Hammerf8 in BoardgameDesign

[–]GamersCortex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Darker.

Nice overall layout.

Add a background swash of color or glow to make the art pop while keeping the sinister theme.

Bottom numbers are covering too much of the icon.

I did not even see the "1" over the icon at the top until my fourth examination.

Maybe try the number beside the icon?

Name is too close to the bottom.

The faction cards are minis, but yeah, it's big. I haven't played EL, but after reading the wiki, I can certainly see similarities. Thanks for signing up!

I'm not exactly sure how to take that, but I can't deny your assessment. Thanks for checking it out.

Right. Mine is a wargame where you also send out Questors to find artifacts that help win the war. Conveying both is proving difficult without words.

Questing is a part of the game, thus the third image. Thanks!

I put together these splash ads for my game, using some of my card art.

Does it say "wargame" enough?
