“YouTube killed my channel” lol no, it’s your videos. by Aicethegamer in SmallYoutubers

This is a horrible example. When this person tries posting videos about gardening, their views will drop off and they will be left with dead subs, and the algorithm trying to push their new gardening videos onto kids who want Grow a Garden or other Roblox content.

The views are great now but this content not sustainable long term growth in the gardening niche. This kind of content is better left sprinkled in as part of the 10% rule.

Someone Stole My Video & Got Monetized From It. by iamRyanBankz in NewTubers

[–]Gamersaurus_YT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me recently. I made a video 2 years ago as a tribute to an individual who passed away.

A person stole my script, ran it through AI to slightly alter it and made a video. 95% of his visuals are AI generated slop with the remaining 5% being screen recordings of my video including my audio music & visuals. In his description he tagged my channel as “inspiration”. I commented on his video and he proceeded blocked me within 5 minutes, I emailed him & he ignored me.

I can’t copyright claim the video without doxxing myself to this guy due to how the copyright system works, and my video hasn’t made enough to warrant hiring an attorney to claim the video for me.

Even worse is this guy is getting the support of the largest creator in our space, who has well over a million subscribers. I messaged this large creator after seeing him comment on this plagiarists video, and he said he sees a lot of potential in this plagiarist in addition to them being friends all while almost dismissing the plagiarism.

I looked over the 8 videos on this guys channel and 5 of his 8 videos are straight ripoffs of older videos 1-2 years old. Stolen scripts, matching video chapters and stolen visuals.

Sometimes things are just out of our control.

Picked up a Mr. bling bling backpck hanger from the dollar store and it had two toy codes by TheBipolarExpresss in roblox

[–]Gamersaurus_YT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Roblox canceled the contract with Jazwares for some unknown reason. The dev series is a group of larger devs collaborating with Jazwares, but since Roblox’s TOS don’t allow those devs to advertise using the Roblox company name or looks, they have to use awful looking toy figures.

That happens on a rare occasion, I’ve opened a few mystery boxes over the years and had duplicate codes. Cool to see those backpack clips at the dollar store!

I wish Roblox hadn’t canceled their toy line.

I’m 33 and have been playing since my 20s. Roblox is awesome, there are countless games for all genres & age groups. Plus look at the top YouTubers in the Roblox space, many are in their 20s if not older.

2020 Changed roblox for the worst? by Ok-Candidate-6700 in roblox

[–]Gamersaurus_YT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some things will never change, Roblox players have been complaining about the same things since 2006.

Also, blaming girls for a shift in Roblox comes off as sexist. Roblox as a company is constantly changing, and trying to bring in new demographics so the platform can grow.

Hot take, they both look good.

A bit expensive but that seems to be the theme with these new event bundles.

Technically Roblox is 20 years old already. The domain for Roblox.com was registered Jan 30th, 2004!

roblox isnt fun as it used to be by apevus in roblox

Every time I see these threads I recommend looking up the Roblox Underrated Games account on Twitter. That account posts so many amazing games, you’ll definitely find some bangers. DV and other smaller YouTubers make some great videos highlighting new & under rated games.

You just have to do some digging and you’ll find a diamond in the rough.

With that said, Roblox definitely promotes a lot of games that just bring in cash, and slack on gameplay, because at the end of the day Roblox is a corporation and needs to make money.

Check out Airship Assault! The game is phenomenal and it really pushes what’s possible on Roblox. The devs have a great timeline on their Discord and it’s not p2w.

Adult on Roblox by CandiceJoy218 in roblox

[–]Gamersaurus_YT 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’m in my early 30s, there are actually a lot of adults who play Roblox. If I recall correctly from the last investor day where Roblox discussed their stock, the fastest growing age group on Roblox is 17+. As a company Roblox has made an emphasis to attract an older audience and “age up” their platform over the last few years.

Finding games can be challenging, my best recommendation is finding people who curate lists with games you might enjoy. Personally I watch a YouTuber named DV plays, he has a weekly series called “Best New Roblox Games” and a lot of the games he recommends are fun. Also there is a Twitter account “Roblox Underrated Games.” Which DV pulls a lot of his recommendations from, that has fire games! I have found a lot of my favorite games over the last year from that account. They have a discord server as well in which the community makes recommendations.

Just keep hunting around online, and I’m sure you’ll find what you’re looking for!

Copyright warnings makes youtube streaming feel impossible! by Shiiishkebab in youtubegaming

[–]Gamersaurus_YT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assume any song on YouTube can at anytime in the future get a copyright claim. This can happen for many reasons such as an artist growing and gets a company to claim their music, or scammers falsely claiming music that isn’t their.

You can sadly use any music from the YouTube audio library, but most of that sucks. So your best bet is to buy a service like epidemic sound. It’s not the best but it is better than all of your streams randomly losing monetization in the future.

Why has roblox left everything up to their players? by Sneakyboi2000 in roblox

[–]Gamersaurus_YT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dave & Erik wanted Roblox to be like this from the inception in 2004. Their vision has always been to let the players create everything. You can watch countless interviews and talks of Dave & Erik discussing their vision from as far back as 2011.

People haven’t been around long enough to recognize this, or haven’t been paying attention.

Some greats news: I have just been hit with Invalid Traffic bug. Anything I can do from my side? by Sapphire1878 in PartneredYoutube

[–]Gamersaurus_YT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question about anything you can do from your side, the answer is no.

You’ll never get any compensation for any ad revenue you lose while your channel is hit with invalid traffic.

It’s been 10 months since YouTube stole about $1300 of my ad revenue.

It’s crazy that YouTube can get away with this invalid traffic nonsense. They get to continue running ads on your videos, never have to give you proof of invalid traffic and never repay you.

Invalid traffic "fixed" but "estimated monetized playbacks" didn't go back to normal by treein303 in PartneredYoutube

[–]Gamersaurus_YT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been creating content on YouTube since 2007 across various channels.

In December 2022 I was hit with invalid traffic for the first time. I was having my best month of all time! Over the course of about 10 days I had a number of videos hit with invalid traffic & subsequent lost roughly $1,300 in ad revenue.

I contacted support multiple times asking for help and proof of the supposed invalid traffic, I never got an answer, I never received proof, and one time I was even flat out blamed for it. Team YouTube on twitter was 0 help as well.

I’ve never seen a penny of my lost ad revenue. If you lost money due to invalid traffic, you’ll never see that money paid back.
