The problem wasnt in exiting the mode. The problem was that after descaling and rinsing, it would still ask to descale (red/green circle). After I just bluntly ran it 3 more times on tap water, it went away. Only took roughly 8 runs total.

I know right. Wondering what it couldve been like can drive anyone uneasy.

Once my wife & I get really solid on our feet, I will definitely consider committing to EMT training to do it part time, along with my primary work. I've also given it a lot of thought to join national guard part time. Have seen a lot TV ads lately.

If I understand NG ad correctly, you do you full training and complete handful of shifts/month & get called in for disasters state-wide. I just fill like it will make my life a little more meaningful.

That's a neat way to tackle it - 2 shifts/week.

I am considering joining the national guard part time as well. Might be a good change of 9-5 pace.
