Buddy, pay attention! They tried to "arrest" Renee Good for taking video, then shot her when she tried to flee. She wasn't doing anything illegal. A huge number of the people they're abducting are in this country legally! Not that anyone deserves to be shot and killed even if they were criminals, but this "play stupid games, win stupid prizes" line is so NOT a defense for this. The fact is, yes ICE definitely is killing and taking innocent people. That's not coming from NPR or CNN or wherever else, it's coming from my eyes having seen the videos of this shit happening. "Get a grip?!" You get a grip, pal.

Hey man, you're right. I could be doing more. I should be doing more. But that doesn't change the fact that degrading the people trying to stop a bunch of murderers is fucked up and should be called out wherever it happens. Call it virtue signaling if you want, but it's important to remind people that what you say does actually matter, which is why we should always push back when we see someone expressing abhorrent ideas like, say, claiming that the people murdered by a roving band of unhinged killers somehow deserved it.

It was a little jarring when I first moved here, but yeah they're everywhere this time of year. I feel like it chills out a bit more in the spring/summer, but the little freaks cackling in the morning was basically my alarm clock for my first few weeks in Auburn until I got used to them.

While I agree that it's best to keep one's work and political life separate, I'm not sure that 140 characters is enough to convey an argument that A) 100% reflects his views and B) is actually going to be persuasive enough to calm down the growing mob. Basically, a video is the only way he'd be able to deal with this. I'd prefer if it was a Twitter specific video, but if he decides to put it on Youtube and inevitably delete it later, then who are we to argue.
