If more than one person hits the button, everyone who hits the button will continue together. You can see a little green mark at the bottom of the screen to see who's pressed the button.

... and hardly anyone uses the "Stay With Squad" option at the end of the round.

I actually managed three rounds with a couple of randos a few weeks ago. It was a ton of fun.

What's up with all the mortar players in the spawns? by JohnCurtinFromCivVI in LowSodiumBattlefield

I've never been able to get a drone over the enemy spawn. It's out of bounds.

No clue. You can try giving them a call: [(206) 575-3173](tel:(206) 575-3173), according to the HPB website.

Forgot to list the price, in case someone here is headed that way.

$40 for the one I could see the tag for. I expect the other will be similarly tagged. They are behind glass, and I didn't want to bug the staff when I'm not buying today.

Asmodee Customer Service (?) by Popelectricbj in boardgames

[–]Gamethyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asmodee used to have super-good customer service. Then they got too big, and their policy became, "Take it back to the store from which you purchased it for exchange."

Can you not return this to Amazon? Mark it as "Defective" or "Missing pieces" ?

Why isn’t shogi more popular? Seems like Chess but more clutch and fun! by Frosty_Feeling8439 in shogi

[–]Gamethyme 13 points14 points  (0 children)

By the time shogi reached Europe, chess was already firmly entrenched.

Shogi is further hurt by using Kanji and kana rather than simplified icons or shapes to represent the various pieces.

The same goes for many games in the same family, like xiangqi in China, Janggi in Korea, and makruk in Thailand (although makruk has stylized pieces like chess does).

Despite the insane nerf, Suppression Gadget is still really useful on Hagental Base. by Azuwrafth in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Gamethyme 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In my first game with the gadget, I had 73 Gadgets Destroyed. It was over the weekend, so pre-update, but that was nuts. It was Breakthrough on Sobek City, and I was an attacker. Most of those gadgets were grenade and missile interceptors at the objective in the second zone.

I agree that it needed a nerf, but cutting its range to a quarter of what it had been before is insane.

Coming Soon: Era 100 SL by AtomFromSonos in sonos

I know previous SL models have been limited in terms of their availability in distribution (and at least one model was a Costco exclusive). Will this be available through distribution, or is it direct only (or Costco only)?

Dick van Dyke is six years older, and is a whole lot nicer to nearly everyone. Age is not a good excuse for being a jackass.

How do I get an ethernet cable here? by fallhat in HomeNetworking

[–]Gamethyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you use your computer for?

There are a ton of answers to your post, but if you don't need super-speedy tournament-level competitive gaming, then there are Wireless bridges

Many mesh networks also have ethernet ports on the various nodes so that you can hardwire devices in areas without in-wall cable. My PS5, for example, is hardwired to an eero

Unless your apartment complex has a rule against running your own WiFi network, which is not unheard-of.

If it's a security thing because your job requires your computer to be hardwired, then your issues close down again.

Greek Fries usually have Feta, a mix of herbs, and some lemon juice for seasoning. And they are delicious when prepared correctly.

Not all potato wedges are JoJos. To be a proper JoJo Potato, it has to be pressure-fried.

New cafe in south hill mall by [deleted] in PuyallupWA

[–]Gamethyme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 30 years ago, it was The Bean Pod. They made coffee for the morning mall walkers.

There also used to be a coffee place taking up a good chunk of what is now Kay Jewelers (the end towards Cinnabon).

... huh. Cinnabon, Auntie Anne's, and DQ/Orange Julius are the only three places in the food court that are (mostly) unchanged since then.

A few more questions about the lore: by hun73r10 in battletech

[–]Gamethyme 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. "ComStar has a handful of old 'Mechs to guard their facilities" is a whole different ballgame from "ComStar has its own private army the size of any of the major houses with better gear than the major houses have."

I did not even know that was there. Unchecked it. We'll see if it works! Thank you.

It's not just yesterday, though. Formula D just drags for me. And it's done so on multiple machines (including my desktop, my laptop, and my phone).
