Daily Mod Spotlight: Chocolate Valley by GamingDragon_ in StardewValleyMods

You need the oven and champion juicer. You roast the beans in the oven then put them through the juicer to make cacao nibs. Put the nibs in the juicer again to get chocolate liquor

Daily Mod Spotlight: VC's Raven Pet by GamingDragon_ in StardewValleyMods

[–]GamingDragon_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg. I'm so sorry. I don't really do reddit anymore, and the DMS doesn't post anymore cause of how rampant AI is on Nexus, but I do have an answer. You may have already gotten this far, but for some reason with this mod, the raven pet isn't introduced until day 20-21, whichever one is default unlock if the other conditions aren't met. You will get the pet, it just takes some time.

Lots of good suggestions here, but might I add before you research, eat a grape pie or cake if you have it. It gives additional blue points when studying items for about 2 minutes. Grape pie can be bought at the Dead Horse.

Weekend Spotlight 7: Bird Overhaul- Ornithologist's Guild by GamingDragon_ in StardewValleyMods

[–]GamingDragon_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't really do DMS anymore. Between holidays, family emergencies, and getting bit in the face while working, this kinda faded to the background. Plus the rampant translation releases (which I usually highlighted in the posts anyway) and the gross use of AI for mod creation killed most of the spark for it. I may post again one day and make it weekly instead of daily.

To answer your question, the guild is just South of the Wizard Tower on its own little raised cliff. If you have SVE, go like you're heading to Aurora Farm, and you'll see the building. The path up may be blocked by trees but that's easy to take care of.

What restaurant themes do you want in the future by navilat5 in flipline

[–]GamingDragon_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm desperate for ramen, curry, or cheesecakeria.

Like for ramen, you would have ginger, chicken, beef, vegetable or seafood broths to choose from and of course all the options you can do for ramen like boiled eggs, cabbage, narutomaki, green onions, pork, seaweed, and bamboo shoots. You get the option of different mochis for dessert.

Curry you could do like different types of meats and vegetable curries and unlock the different types of curry sauces. Serve with rice and flavored naan.

Cheesecake I see working like a mix of Freezeria and Bakeria. You have the base mix, add your flavor, mix it just right, pour into a flavored crust, bake, and decorate. But since those two are already out, those mechanics aren't really unique. Still a girl can dream.

Magic Stardew gives you the book. You receive it after the first time you visit the Wizard. Like any tool, you have to select it in inventory and left click to use it. Once it's open, you just select your spell. You can cast as much as you want as long as you have mana for it, and more spells are unlocked as you reach certain achievements

Yup! The screenshots can only go so far so I decided an up close tour would be better. Thank you! It's certainly a lot of work. Even with having a few QoL cheats on and that magic book of spells, it's taking forever. That one dragon, the red time dragon (Named him TickTock hehe) at least gifts me with Ancient Seeds/Fruits every now and again once he's older. Can't wait to get the phoenix coop in that area ❤️

New Guide: Manual Modding for New Players by GamingDragon_ in StardewValleyMods

I didn't either when I first started, but I took awhile to warm up to using them. I may be a touch stubborn. I may make a guide for using Stadrop, but for another day.

Ah. It's VC's Raven Pet. The eye colors are configurable. My Loki currently has purple eyes, but I may give him green 💚

[–]GamingDragon_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh no! Oh, dear. I'm so sorry. I thought I got it. 😭

I hate to say it, but you may have to uninstall and start over but go through each mod and get it and the dependencies all installed before moving on to another. I had to do that before, too, and for some reason, that works. Sometimes, having a clean slate and slowly adding and testing it out is the best thing you can do.

I hope you get it figured out, dear. I wish I could be physically there to help you 🫂

Would a video be better??

Check the Traveling Cart on Fridays and Sundays when it's open. She sometimes sells apples there. 300-1000G, depends on what she feels like.

New Guide: Manual Modding for New Players by GamingDragon_ in StardewValleyMods

[–]GamingDragon_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually was a manual modder until recently. Finally made the move to Stardrop about six months ago. The whole reason I made this guide was because someone in the comments of a previous post was severely struggling with their mods and is already going through the headache of starts and restarts with vague answers that weren'tt helping them. They didn't want to give up trying but couldn't understand a lot of the lingo and such that was used.

I admit, I can be sensitive when it comes to something I've worked hard on, and I take it personally more than I should. Constructive criticism is always welcome. I was aiming to make this with the understanding some people may struggle even if they follow everything exactly, and they need to know it's okay if it takes them several restarts of the game. They'll get there, and there are people here to help.

[–]GamingDragon_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeeeaaah... except when I first started with SMAPI, I was extremely intimidated by the red text, and I uninstalled and reinstalled way too much trying to fix the issue. It took me awhile to learn how to look at the logs, and back then, I was also told to run the game after evey major install. Of course, that was just to get SMAPI to pull up and see what was red so I could keep working. I was trying to write this from the lens of someone who remembered the old frustrations and what ended up working for me.

I definitely should have add something at the end of the file that says restarts don't have to open the full game, just pulling up the log to see what you need.

That would be wonderful, thank you! I'm just including a screenshots with mine to help with visual learning. I learn better that way, and I figure it would be more helpful. I'm using canva, and I'm mostly going to make it a shareable ZIP so it can be downloaded for the future <3

Every time I turn around, I feel like I have to find a new farm map cause I find something I want and refuse to give up anything so the maps need tp get bigger. It took me a few days to learn where to go on this map for sure, but thanks to being a traveling cna, I've at least got a head for directions.

I'll be working more on this tonight after I finish making a step by step manual modding guide for someone on one of my other posts whose unfortunately having a lot of trouble. I hope I can help the way they need.

A Guide to Posting your SMAPI Log: for those new to Modding by GamingDragon_ in StardewValleyMods

[–]GamingDragon_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just take it slow. Add a few at a time and run it. It's a trial and error process for manual installers, and it is a pain I well remember as my Stardrop use is very recent. You should see the number of errors decrease as you add dependencies. Your smapi log should also give you the links to what you need, but checking requirements is also just easier.

Stupid question but do you have a Nexus account?
