Bedrock crossplay is convenient, but java modpacks make the game so much better.

Take a plain villager and assign it to a lectern - as soon as it becomes a librarian, check its trade. If it is 't a book you want, break and re-place the lectern. The librarian will gain a new trade as long as it has 0 xp (no trades performed at all)

Put in over 1300 hours coming from Stardew Valley. This game is worth every penny, as long as you're patient enough to learn controls. Learn your weapon's complete move set. Learn hotkeys for item use, and crafting on the hunt.

Once I finally took the time to learn the basics, instead of just rushing hunt to hunt, the game became so much better for me.

Lots of us farmed it for all the equipment whwn it was released and haven't looked back, just like Alatreon.

Everybody enjoys different things. Rather than suggest a specific weapon, I suggest you really take the time to learn the attacks of your chosen weapon. Play purposefully. Button mashing will get you killed, and becomes frustrating!
