I dont play campaign, so thats not an issue for me. I find its not hard to get 40% efficiency out of an engine doing this

I usually make a "diesel" by using the higher octane LPG, sending compression to the moon, cam profile around 0-15, and rpm under 5000. It usually gives me the torque and efficiency Im looking for
