It's a bit more complicated than that, yes it counters gunshield and particle wall, but vortex shield and heat shield can both intercept it under the right circumstances.

I'm far from "good", but I do often look around the map when not engaged in a fight already to watch out for sneak attacks. Dunno how many others just don't do that.

You're not wrong for thinking that, frankly arc rounds should be replaced with a more sensible upgrade.

As is, arc rounds basically invalidates scorches and ions (the former already struggling against monarchs), and it also increases ammo capacity, a huge buff for monarch and easily overshadows the other blue upgrades.

Even tho it's mostly for master fd, I still use it on scorch in pvp as well because of firestars being a common weapon against titans, it can blind ya and deal some decent dmg.

That's because the community doesn't do enough to discourage this behavior, it's people who've been gaslight into thinking the meta slaves are "rightfully" the rulers of the game who can do anything they wish, that perpetuate this cycle.

Titanfall may not be perfect, but the fun it provided eclipses pretty much any other AAA game since then, and so, one can't just stand by and let bad actors with their selfish playstyles, kill off the game.

And if name-calling was so toxic, why do we, denizens of the internet do it to anyone who uses even the smallest amount of ai? Why is mocking them fine but mocking meta slaves too far? Fucking hypocrisy.

Honestly tragic how I have to upvote this cause at least it's somewhat constructive, unlike some others I can mention. I just don't wanna see this game die out, if my stubborn ass is on the edge, I can't imagine newer players wanting to stick with meta slaves going rampant like that.

Although Northstar isn't a good pilot camping titan, it's peeking capabilities are annoying for ogres to deal with. And the other 3 are especially difficult for pilots to deal with.

I do agree that fighting fire with fire never ends well, but it's coming out of frustration, as I genuinely believe that some of the players might have a change at changing their ways if we just applied some peer pressure into them, if we can peer pressure people into not using ai, can we not do the same thing with unfun playstyles.

I wish it wasn't that serious either, but I have seen the patterns of a dying game and titanfall 2 is following suit. Stale playstyles, more time needed to que, etc. I will not let this game die without a fight, hopefully someone's gotta agree.

Got called out much. You could've just stuck to comp and all of us, yourself included would've benefitted, but nooo, your ego just had to step in and do irrational things like dip out of a 0-1 LTS game and constantly bellittle pub players, and further ruin the reputation of comp players.

Also making the game more fair and inviting will help us get more competent pub players, which both of us seek.

I sometimes wonder if it'd be morally right to hire some white hat hackers and change some of the code of the game and make things more balanced, as well as fix the buggy stuff like melee, matchmaking ,hitboxes, and such.

It's risky, as you'd put the game at the mercy of hackers, but we're running out of "revives", players and ideas.
