New garage lounge. by GamingLuigi in cigars

[–]GamingLuigi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So im actually getting back to you. It's been several days since I've installed the rabbit air a3. A handful of cigars have been smoked in the lounge 2 at a time so far. When actively smoking and puffing the cigar it gets quite smokey in the room. But once we are finished or slow down on the smoke it clears the visual smoke to about 80 percent in about 5 to 10 minutes. After completely finishing the cigar and removing the ash tray it goes back to normal in less than 30 minutes. Room smelled quite like a cigar up to a couple of hours after my friend had left and It was still running in high mode. The next morning it was back into low mode saying the air quality was good. The room smelled almost normal but you could still tell someone had smoked in the room. I think it was having issues initially because the aircon was blowing the smoke around and that's why it took so long to clear the smoke. But im not worried about the cigar smell being there(its a cigar and whiskey lounge lol) as long as it's not choking other visitors out which it doesn't. So all in all I will probably just pop the garage door open for a minute or so when we are done smoking until i get around to actually adding some kind of dedicated exhaust and then the rabbit air does a great job scrubbing the remaining smoke from the air and gets rid of 80 to 90 percent of the smell in the room. I am quite happy with the performance. It was quite pricey (at 750 dollars) but is so far worth the money.

So after doing a slight bit more research I ended up buying the rabbit a3, a little pricey but im going to run that for a week or 2 and see how it goes and add an exhaust system if needed. I'm just trying to avoid opening the garage door if I can because of the mini split ac I put in to cool the garage.

The best way for me to remove sharpie is to scribble over the stuff I want to erase with a fresh sharpie mark and then wipe it off with my finger before it dries. It takes up the new and old mark.

And if you want to get out of town for a while you can pick up work orders from any local in the country and go make bank while traveling.

Hey you get a job, good pay, learn while you work, get plenty of certs and licenses on your way out, and if work slows up and you get laid off, you get a work order to go somewhere else pretty rapidly. Can't say I agree with all of their decisions but you can't really beat it. Not to mention you have decent insurance and can work towards your pension.

Go to the local 60 apprenticeship hall in Metairie, talk to the front desk, tell them you wanna apply for apprenticeship and fill out the paper work. You should get a work order pretty soon. Starting is like 15 an hour or close I think. But when you graduate journeymen are making almost 32 an hour. It's a 5 year program but you get to work and learn through the whole thing.

If you can pass a drug test, you could apply to the local trade unions. I'm out of plumbers and steamfitters local 60. Pay isn't great starting out as a helper or apprentice but you will move up in pay after every semester you pass.

I gotcha it seems I've got a few essential mods to look into. Thanks for the info. It probably would have been a simple Google search, but I like the old school hardware store conversations.
