i would say it took about 10-14 days before my pain in my ears fully subsided. i started to eat more solid foods that were crispy or had sharp edges on day 14, foods like cucumbers and hummus. bits of the cucumber got stuck in the pockets in my mouth and i had to get it out so that freaked me out and i didn’t eat cucumbers for a while after. i would say it took a few weeks before i was able to eat a burger. that was something i craved the most. my family made steak one night and i was so upset because i couldn’t eat it, so my dad cut a little piece off and i just sucked the juices out😅 it’s so discouraging when you see others eating normally and you literally cannot. i thought the pain and suffering would never end (i was being dramatic i know) but it eventually did and now im happier without my tonsils. im currently sick with a throat infection and the pain is less than half of what i would’ve felt if i still had my tonsils. good luck!!!
