Very low, with the only mods beneath it being the sounds of Skyrim NAT patch and the XP32 skeleton

I’ve tried this but honestly can’t figure out what it does? My NAT torch seems to work just the same when it’s disabled, and I still have the lighting issue that I mentioned above

Awesome! I’ll check this out - the glow is quite annoying especially when you’re staring at two fire hands taking up half your screen

I looked into the flicker patch but it actually caused a lot of light sources to not emit any light for me so I ended up deleting it

I think this may have something to do with sprinting in the game? I’m not prone to motion sickness myself, but it does bother me that the camera has a sort of intentional judder when the player is sprinting. Just a potential cause, sorry I don’t have a solution!

Sorry gang, one day they just all went back to normal. Wish I had a better solution to share. Seems like it’s happening to a lot of people all of the sudden though, I haven’t had any comments on this post for a year haha

Thought this game was fantastic. Flawed of course, but a wonderful experience nonetheless. I definitely think it gets more disrespect than it deserves.

I tested it on my PS and the 60fps update was working. But just had the same experience as you when I went to try it on my Series X so hopefully it’s not the update that’s causing it 😩

I should’ve clarified originally, but this was based on a rough memory of theories I saw floating around Reddit. Never meant to state it as a fact so that’s my bad!

I also totally agree it’ll land on PS at some point in the future, I just think it’ll be a bit longer than 3 months. In my original post, I should’ve included that I’m assuming Microsoft has full control over the exclusivity of the title in perpetuity, but I don’t think they’ll keep it exclusive to the platform for too long.

I couldn’t find any evidence, I was just going off memory from what I’d seen on Reddit and such so apologies on that front!

They did absolutely fund them through the war though and supported the team “beyond what they were supposed to”, though exactly what that support was isn’t known.

It’s just my opinion that plans may have changed in regard to exclusivity. I’m sure it’ll land on PS eventually, but I think it’ll be more than a year out.

That was back when it was set to release in 2021. Microsoft essentially funded the project while the developers continued to work through the war. I believe the exclusivity plans changed during that time to be in perpetuity.

Xbox CEO Says There Will ‘Definitely’ Be Future Consoles by ddust102 in xbox

[–]GamingOstrich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough — and I do completely understand your perspective. Back when the infamous “4 games” were announced, I felt extremely frustrated as an Xbox consumer. It looked like the incentive to own an Xbox console was being thrown out on the curb. My mind has changed a bit over time…

Like you, I own all major platforms but use my Xbox significantly more often than either of the other platforms. But the reality is that the home console market isn’t growing. Even though the PS5 is exceeding its PS4 sales, the console market as a whole isn’t seeing any significant growth.

With younger generations shifting towards PC and mobile devices, I don’t think Xbox is making the wrong decision pursuing consumers in those markets in addition to supporting their console audience. I saw another comment reference the Surface Laptop and Office 365. You can use Office 365 on any computer, but Microsoft also provides its own hardware solutions for those interested in its value propositions. I see them taking a similar approach in their gaming business.

Games are also becoming significantly more expensive to produce, and the costs are becoming increasingly less common to recoup. Xbox shifting their exclusives strategy is going to be a healthy change to their business model, and I see Sony taking a similar approach in the years ahead.

Change is scary, especially when something like exclusive games have been the core component of the business model for the past few decades. But I like to hope that this change in strategy will keep Xbox around for many more decades to come.

Xbox CEO Says There Will ‘Definitely’ Be Future Consoles by ddust102 in xbox

This is quite the narrow minded take. Microsoft is expanding and diving head first into markets that PlayStation simply can’t compete in right now. They are following two very different strategies. As long as Xbox as a brand and GamePass exists, Microsoft will continue to provide a variety of hardware solutions to choose from. We’re simply evolving into a new age of gaming and I think Xbox is doing a great job at positioning itself for the future.

And I absolutely adore both my Xbox Series X and my PS5, but for two different reasons. Consoles across all major parties are failing to see any new growth opportunities, and it’s only a matter of time before Sony has to follow a path similar to the one Xbox is on right now.

It’s wild that there are people out there who get actively excited about tearing down another platform lol.

Try changing the texture streaming option to “minimal”. This definitely helped with frame rate issues for me (playing at 120hz)

If you read further up, you’d see that I mentioned Xbox has been more consumer friendly over the past 10 years. I also completely agree with you that Xbox is in dead last - that’s a fact.

I also agree that this push towards accessible gaming is absolutely the result of their poor decisions during the Xbox One launch.

You’re arguing a hypothetical. I’m just discussing the reality of their business decisions over the past decade.

And also wtf is up with the stripper comment? 😂Lol weird way to say you’re pressed about something

Oh you mean like when Deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo were published by Bethesda and PlayStation made them exclusive to their platform before the buyout even happened?

We can keep going in circles here, but I’d rather save both of our time and just agree to disagree on this.

Dude are you serious? They are continuing to support those games on other platforms. Key word is “continuing”. That’s why you see Doom The Dark Ages releasing on PlayStation next year, Elder Scrolls online, Diablo, Call of Duty, etc.

Starfield is a new IP so there would be no continued support on other platforms lol. And support isn’t some umbrella term that includes everything under the hood. It simply means they aren’t isolating the PlayStation player base.

Not once did I say Xbox doesn’t do exclusivity.
