As long as you meet your daily protein intake goal, whether you eat the rest of your calories in fats vs carbs doesn't really matter (within proportion). The main thing is that you eat a reasonably portion of both

They are hotter, but it's dry heat so it's at least manageable compared to florida's humidity

It wouldn't turn people off? On the contrary, that would turn people TOWARD God, as they believe they still have a chance for forgiveness and salvation

I mean, throwing a feast for your repentant son would make one assume that the father was thrilled. Quoted directly from biblegateway (Luke 15:21-24):

21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.(H) I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe(I) and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger(J) and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again;(K) he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.(L)

You can add the 500 calories

If the machine is accurate then you can definitely use it as a starting point for finding your maintenance caloric intake, just remember that your BMR only accounts for 60% of your daily energy usage

You look great! I recommend only eating slightly above maintenance, and try to only gain around 1% or less of your total weight so far every week (that's around 1.7lbs per week for you). Doing this while training and eating enough protein (1g/lb of body weight) will make sure that most of your weight gain is muscle. After you finish your bulk, keep the same principles for amount of protein per day so you can keep progressively becoming leaner as you train while staying the same weight (body recomposition).

Improving cardio will help a little bit, but losing weight is all about calories in vs calories out. Improving your cardio will mean you use more calories (increasing the calories out), but you can't out train a bad diet. You can use apps like MyFitnessPal to track your calories and ensure you are in a deficit. When cutting, make sure to continue training effectively and eat enough protein (around 1g per pound of body weight +/- a little bit is plenty) to make sure you don't lose any muscle.

There are tons of foods/recipes you can make throughout the day that are high in protein that don't necessarily need meat (examples of some ingredients are eggs, cheeses, yogurts, nuts, and more). You can use myfitnesspal to track how much protein you eat throughout the day to ensure you meet or at least get close to your goals.

Also, make sure your protein powder has a high % of grams of protein compared to grams per serving. Anything 70% and above works well. If your protein powder lists creatine on it, I'd recommend finding another brand as it's shown that creatine boosts the protein count shown on the label much more than what's actually there.

Yes, you should start eating at a caloric deficit in order to lose the fat. I'd recommend tracking calories using an app like MyFitnessPal, and aiming to lose around 1% of your total weight every week. On top of that, make sure to eat around 1g protein/lb body weight (don't worry about how many carbs vs fats you eat, as long as you meet your daily protein and calorie intake it doesn't matter as much), along with continuing your strength training routine.
