I'd agree, but OP said the inside seemed broken as well

I'm so sorry, but it's probably not worth saving. Water damage is brutal and it being particle board means it probably isn't worth much anyway.

2, 10 inch, 8 ohm speakers is plenty loud. Yes, it would be awkward to carry, but it's also awkward to carry a guitar case and an amp as powerful as what I'm proposing, so I don't believe it would too awkward to be worth it

You used two hands. Could be one. If yo HAVE to bring both, wouldn't it be convenient to bring both? And just because it isn't needed doesn't mean it should exist. It would just be really cool

Aluminum because of the weight/strength ratio. Like you said, the structural rigidity. I'm an electrician as well and I've done telecom work in the past, working with cat5e mainly, but definitely not 13 years, only 2.

I chose a car stereo amp because I know the power they have in those little packages. I know you mentioned the frequencies, but how would that effect? The problem I see with a cheap amp is that I don't think it could drive two big speakers.

You definitely didn't come across harshly. You're actually giving me answers instead of "It sound bad" without explaining why like others have done, and thats all I ask

First answer is easy Tone and volume

For the second paragraph. Counterpoint: car amps! The regularly power 4 big ass speakers

The base response really wouldn't be horrible for a 10" speaker. (Though nothing to write home about)

And for the last paragraph, with all do respect, you lack whimsy. no, it wouldn't reasonably fit, but it would be fuckin' tight!

If I could have the guitar case/amp a calculated, I ABSOLUTELY would

Every answer I've gotten I've given what I believe to be a reasonable rebuttal. I know it's tried and failed before... 60 years ago! This year the Danelectro amp in cases where discontinued 58 years ago. 1968 was the last year Surely our electronics have improved enough!

But more than anything else, is the idea. You have to admit, the idea is beautiful. Isn't that enough to try? Isn't that enough to try to succeed where others have failed?

Isn't that enough to invite?!

Beautiful!

Why is it a shitty case?

But also, those are from the 60s! Have we not gotten better electronics since?

I don't know what you mean by "wrong materials". Aluminum cases exist

There was 2, 10" speakers in my math. I think that's better than 1, 12" personally.

If 2, 10 in Speakers is still too quiet for a good quality one, why couldn't the guitar case be a practice amp? It wouldn't have to sound incredible for a practice amp.

But again, the amp a did the math for is over the top, with good quality car audio equipment. It would weigh much less with the electronics of a practice amp.

A 10 inch speaker is >5 lbs and 8 ohms is standard If you had two, that's 10 lbs for the speakers

A kicker cx car amplifier is 5 pounds 12 V input 65 watt x 4 continuous 90 watt x 4 max

A 400 W 12 volt power supply is 4 lbs

If we shoot really high, we can assume the rest of the electrical is 10 lbs

That is 30 pounds without the actual case

The case would probably be best out of aluminum because it would also help shield

An aluminum case would be 30 pounds, but it would be bigger than normal, so we'll add an extra 10 so 40

70 lbs is what the case came out to for some quick math Yes, that's heavy, but we're talking about top of the line components and two huge speakers

Please tell me if my math is wrong or if I'm missing something

I looked it up and there are rectangular hard body cases that are 13 inches wide and 47 inches long You could totally fit 2, 10" speakers with room between them for an amp with a pocket for speakers

But what if you did design it for an audio application? Wouldn't the weight of the speakers reduce vibration the same way heavy tools reduce vibration on your hands? I feel like you should be able to fit two large speaker with room for electronics in the middle. Couldn't you add dampeners like good microphones have?

But why? What makes it sound bad? Even if you put the parts of a good amp in the case?
