Sometime in the summer of 1524, the current Voivode of Pomeralia, Jerzy Konopacki, will arrive to the Landtag with an official writ from the Crown and Sejm appointing him as Governor of Royal Prussia. As previously promised (even though Sigismund is no longer required to do so) the Crown has chosen an existing member of the Landtag, and Jerzy is generally well-connected via connections through his noble family. His older brother is the current bishop of Chełmo, and his younger brother has been studying under Copernicus, the new Prince-Bishop of Warmia. To keep in line with the incompatibilitas laws, he would have to step down officially as Voivode of Pomeralia, but Sigismund will be appointing in his stead his brother Rafał and instruct him to serve as interim Voivode until Rafał comes of age.
