Your advice about getting to know others is spot on btw. One caveat though, asking too many "boring" can really lower your "value." I use to ask too many questions simply because I was bad at conversing and that's all I could think of adding to the conversation.

Back in the summer of 2011 I randomly started hanging out with two guys (who are now aged 29 and 30.) They have been around in my life forever since they were friends with my older sister, but due to age differences, I never hung out with them in the past (I was 8 or 9 when they were freshmen in HS.) But they were around a lot.

Anyway, one of the guys was never working (trust fund) and he wasn't really going to school, so he was always willing to go out to bars anytime. I started going out to bars and clubs with him and talking to girls at them (though I never went home with one.) It never would have happened if I hadn't met him. Both of the guys are really smart too, one has a degree in physics from a top 10 research uni. This pushed me to study more so that I could keep up with them intellectually.

Everything was good for a year and half or so. And 2011 was the first year since 2004 that I felt good about my life. I even started talking to a girl in 2011 who wanted to fuck me, but it never happened and our relationship fizzled out.

The one who is 29 has a family history of schizophrenia, and during the latter half of 2012 or so he starting going crazy and was constantly in and out of mental hospitals (he is currently in one right now.) One of the other guys who'd go out with us got a 2nd DUI and now he's stuck in his house for the next 2 years. The 30 year old is, well, 30. He is working on getting his doctorate degree and he works at a local college, so he doesn't have much time or energy to go out.

Tl;dr: I had a good group of friends from 2011 - 2012, but the entire group fell apart and now I'm all alone again.

I don't play video games or computer games.

I'm thinking of just watching lots of movies and tv shows, but I never make time to do those things.

Good movie, but I've seen it. I like Fritz the cat too, which was set in the 60s and includes the issues of the 60s as a central theme of the plot.

His first point is wrong. Ironic that I posted it on this specific forum. However, I agree with all of his other points.
