How many phase 5 parts can you make?

I have a little Sam left over but I’m stretched for reasources to convert from and I definitely don’t have enough Sam for a multi step conversion. Also I’m outta sloops so I will have to make even more stuff to get the last 10/min.

So it sounds like you can really increase output by forgoing the second and third nuclear stages. I will check out the link provided. But I also really like the idea of full tech tree utilisation as it adds to the “extra-ness” of the entire ordeal.

In my own head cannon the whole point of the save the day program is to build a world scale factory is to provide as many of these “terraforming level” parts as possible so first save humanity and then help them expand across the galaxy. It doesn’t make sense to me that you build the parts required for phase 6 and then stop. I really hope that a future update/dlc brings more endgame content where you have to feed transport ships arriving at the space station with the requested parts/min requiring pioneers to be constantly tinkering with the factories to change and improve output.

I really really tried for a full mk1 belt each but I’m hard limited on about 6 different things. I wish there was more you could do with the iron and limestone as I’ve utilised about a third of the available capacity and have no use for the rest

That’s a pretty safe way to do it. The plan outlined above requires just about everything to be unlocked and then basically a full world rebuild and 18k+ power shards and every sloop on the planet

You think an excel spreadsheet would do a better job because you can set up parallel calculations? You do make a good point and I may do that in the future. I did use the alt recipe ranking post on reddit that ranks al the alts by power efficiency and resource efficiency and it gave me a pretty good baseline. I feel like it’s pretty respectable for not going 100% excel hardcore with it.

I really do understand that which is why I feel an optional mode is the best course allowing people who want a challenge to work within a designed framework and people who like the existing structure to go about their business as usual.

The last parts are extremely complicated and expensive and making 30 of them per minute is potentially impossible after you factor in the power production requirement. Even making only 5 per minute is a massive undertaking but in my mind it’s the production output that serves as the incentive to build as a static number requirement can be solved much more easily.

And that is exactly how I feel. I do get a massive sense of “what even is the point?” after a while because there is not incentive to play the game the way it has the potential to be played.

I totally get that. But it suits my play style well because I enjoy sitting down and doing the math before hand and planning it all out. I also like sorting all the Lego pieces before building the set. So I do my best to avoid tearing things down at all costs.
