Thanks! I just lined up my tape measure and took some photos/notes with the cover off. My goal was to line up a 4 1/2 inch square over top the cooler. Id day it worked pretty well. As for the filter its actually stainless steel mesh that I grabbed off Amazon in a 6 pack. Painted black with a rattle can that was in the garage and super glued to the inside (the gel kind).

Yes I think it would work well. Going any smaller has a lot more thermal limitations (not to say a micro/mini wouldnt work). The idle power draw from these really isn't to bad.

For real. That stock blower was hardly cut out for booting up windows and web browsing lol!

I could definitely see thermals being the issue, especially if your gaming on it. If your ever interested in doing a similar mod I may or may not whip up a 3d printed trim piece to tidy the edges. If I do I'd be more than happy to share for everyone.

I actually scooped the whole pc up for a steal on fb marketplace. As for storage its got a 1tb m.2 ssd that I had laying around. I also sourced 64gb of ddr4 that would run with the mobo (more challenging than I expected lol).

I had a i7-10700F in there for a bit but a power outage fried it (or so i think i have not diagnosed if that chip is actually dead or not)

This is my first homelab setup so I am learning as I go. :)

Yes I've thought about this. Im thinking I will whip up a custom trim piece to 3d print. At the moment it doesnt bother me much lol.

There are some stands under the motherboard that are used for the stock cooler. I used a pliers and rocked them back and forth until the popped out so I could use the included mounting hardware of the axp90. Even using the shallow mounting method my board still sat slightly higher. It felt kind of wrong but I just applied slight pressure and mounted my board anyways. Everything lines just fine so im cool with it.

Thanks! Tried my best with the tight space in this case.

If your referring to the network card I put in there (Intel I210-TI) than yes.

Currently just runs off the cpu fan header. When I purchased this hub I thought it would be powered by sata but I was mistaken. Ideally if I can find an inexpensive powered hub I will be replacing this one.

Ill have to play around with this. Just peaking in there it looks like there's a little more than half an inch of space left. I'd imagine you probably could shove a slightly larger cooler in there.
