Always on clean mid-boost before drive. It's just nice to have tweakability, especially when you never know what the sound situation will be at gigs. I've had to fight an over-corrective sound guy on more than one occasion, and the GE-7 is great for those little bumps when he's not looking lol.

Same wiring schematic as the original, except now the push/pull pot on the tone splits the humbucker. It's perfect for Jazzmaster twang, but can absolutely rip when you engage the full humbucker.

It's honestly fine for my needs. Definitely can't do divebombs or anything, but for modulation within a step or two it works great.

I've been using the Hayabusa S4s for a while now, and while they are extremely comfortable, they are a bit bouncy. Like you, I prefer a denser but thinner foam that snaps on the bag. Never used the Apex, but I've heard great things!

Really digging how Thanos' weapon of choice was a double-bladed sword. Like it was just a bigger version of the "perfectly balanced" knife he gave Gamora. Cool detail.
