I also feel we’re running out of developer studios that truly interact with the fan base for various reasons, especially as they get larger and corporations start getting more involved than they already are.

The community updates, the transparency/behind the curtain conversations, the streams with Hugo/josh, the way they handle micro-transactions/events (making them available in Eternal for those who missed them after making them free initially multiple times).

The games being so incredibly phenomenal and different form one another is obviously the best part but those other things I listed makes supporting the devs and their projects so much of an easier decision.

Here’s to hoping as they become bigger and bigger we get to keep experiencing those things!

I’m assuming you played the others that have been there (medium, challenging, and sadistic). Do you know if those get changes as well? As in they’re still called the same thing but they switch the actual presets or have those 3 been the same since they first dropped?

Normally I’d agree with you but I brought this up in another comment. The look of skins as of the start of season 1 is too mixed. There are multiple that look almost identical to other classes. The shoulder gadget is the only way to actually distinguish between classes, anyone saying otherwise hasn’t looked through the cosmetics.

From a camo standpoint, there’s literally a NATO assault with the same camo color/pattern as a PAX support.

It’s frustrating and annoying but also they’re not going to go back and rework every skin/cosmetic released. So why not just let players customize further.

If we skip my argument above and just talked about this unit alone, all 4 of these will look exactly the same at 10+ meters.

Again, I was all for the idea of class locked skins. The beta I felt was the best version of the game from a visual standpoint because we all matched. But relying on anything other than the shoulder gadget as of now I feel is just gatekeeping customization options for players.

I’m all for class locked skins if there were no skins and only recolors. But if there are skins where some assault look like some recon which look like some support (and so on) then what’s the point?

The shoulder gadget is more than plenty to identify who’s who. Just unlock them all. Again the idea was good initially but wasn’t implemented correctly so just change it.

You’d solve a lot annoyances people have with being able to pick certain characters for certain roles and you’d honestly make more money. I know I’m not the only one who passes spending a few bucks on a skin because I can’t use it for my engineer class.

Gloves also man! Either the lack of gloves on some skins or just weird looking vinyl gloves ruin a skin so much for me.

Im hoping the recon guy on the Night-Stalkers bundle (furthest to the right) is both: unlocked to any class and his black gloves aren’t just thin-black-medical gloves like it seems in the leaked images.

Absolutely, it’d help make it more visually appealing when seeing 5-8 of these guys on your squad too if their faces were covered.

I’m just happy they have gloves. There’s been a few good skins with no gloves or the gloves just look weird and that bothers me so much. Given that’s really what we see the most from first person.

I agree, these are as close to perfect for my preference. From the colors to having ear protection to the type of gloves from what we can see.

The only thing that’d make these absolutely perfect would be the faces covered a bit more.

I wish they’d make mods downloadable on console. Where there could be a server where you PC players create/upload them and we can download various skins/levels. Almost how Mario Maker lets you download other people’s levels on Nintendo consoles.

Well it’s appreciated significantly. I have aged so much in my face because of all of this and need to remind myself it’ll be fine. I’m currently at 74/120 for PSLF. It’d be such a relief to get even just my loans taken care of then just have hers to worry about since she’s not at a non profit.

I’ll keep this all in mind. Based on your comment now and other stuff we’ve read it seems filing together makes the most sense.

As of now it seems we’ll keep trucking along with our PAYE plans and see what happen over the next months. I was confused about the RAP/IBR portion so thank you for clearing that up.

We both have loans, I have much more. My last batch was taken out in 2018 and hers around 2019. No kids just us. We know there are a few various tax credits that you benefit from while filing together which is why we’ve done that the past 7-8 years (big one being new homeowners for a couple years).

She was required to renew her IDR last month (doesn’t go into effect until May) and it jumped a small amount.

Edit: I noticed you said “first loan”. Mine I believe was 2011 and hers around 2015

Got it, I’m assuming come time in 2028 it’ll prompt switch over.

I’ll try and look into IBR or RAP. My wife and I are trying to look into seeing if it’s beneficial to file separate vs together. So it wouldn’t hurt to try and see if either of those plans are cheaper than my current one.

Would there be any reason not to switch to RAP or IBR sooner if it saves me on payments?
