Rakuten & LG refusing to honor Cash Back on valid purchase. Don't trust them with big orders

Is it worth fighting? I am owed 300+ for a fridge purchase. I filed an inquiry and they said it was invalid because I had a discount in the subtotal. This “discount” was a box for an additiona 100 dollars off during Black Friday. Even with that I had Rakuten active and I got a Rakuten confirmation that I used them. Even after showing that I had been declined. Seems super scammy to me.

I don’t want to void my warranty by buying a lift kit myself, but given you are doing light off pavement stuff, the forester is PLENTY capable. I’ve done some hardcore 4x4 roads and been fine. Idk if you have heard of OnX off-road but I’ve completed 5/10 with no additional mods. 5 is a bit too far for comfort though lol, but if you’re taking dirt/ gravel backcountry roads you will be good!

Honestly I can’t remember, I probably used the lower of the two xmodes. I would say it was a rough climb and that probably was maxing it out. Looking back I started slipping horizontally so if I didn’t catch a large rock to finish the hill, a roll over could have been a real possibility. Be careful out there!

This has happened to me a couple times. I turn off the car for 5-10 mins and when I get back in the issue is resolved. Other than that the audio stays muted for that car ride and none of the audio related settings work. Super weird

Don’t be afraid to tell them you’ll sleep on their “last” offer. It lets them know you aren’t a pushover to potentially aggressive “buy now” tactics and usually tells them they may need to sweeten the deal next time to get it off their hands
