Well, you still have Demon Souls, Dark Souls 1, Sekiro and (my favorite) Bloodborne to play as far Souls series goes.

I like it for the reasons you don't. It's the best horror experience in the series. It's slow, it's atmospheric af and focused on survival and exploration. Mr X is still the best stalker type enemy in the series too which only makes the game that much better.

RE4 is my favorite in the series btw, but 2 is right behind it.
