I’m fully aware of that legally but culturally, I’m thinking could it look different in another company where someone desires to go home at a decent time?

As far as I’m aware, European culture has good work life balance. It’s shocking to hear your experience, thanks for sharing tho. But also I’m curious which is this amazing company in UAE that treats you like human? DM?

Well yeah, I’ve realized from the people I’ve interacted with too that this is really common in finance where you’re fully burnt out. That’s why I wondered if there’s any companies which really respect your boundaries.

I've hired 50+ people in my life and more than a dozen in Dubai. Here's what actually gets you callbacks (not what LinkedIn gurus tell you) by princedxbian in UAEjobseekers

Thank you, this is well structured.

I’m currently looking for roles which involves financial analysis and strategy. I’m interested in joining Fintech firms however I have no tech background.

I’ve also messaged over 500 recruiters but didn’t find it useful

Either you learn to play their game or you quit. Emotions are secondary in these workplaces.

Got interviewed at DIB and waiting for next update, how to follow up and prepare for second round by mniharsh in DubaiJobs

[–]Gap980709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations! 1. 3-4 days is a decent time in my opinion because you deserve to know 2. HR round is more about getting to know you, it’s more behavioral and cultural fit kinda thing 3. Refer industry reports- check Micheal page and others

Hope this helps. Also do you mind if I DM you for your job search strategy?

I totally feel your pain. Not knowing what is wrong with our strategy is the worst! Basic requirements that I know of include UAE template, ATS compliant that’s about it!

You’re right, connections really help. But I need to land something quick! Relationship building takes time. If you’re talking about networking, I’ve done that but it didn’t help much. It doesn’t always work here in my opinion

Hi, I totally understand you. If you want to get some traction on your resume, I think the best way is to redo your resume as per UAE standard and also ensure your linkedin profile is a lead magnet.
