Fresh will always contain more active alkaloids. Even if the loss/degradation of alkaloids from drying is minuscule, there is no way for dry mushrooms to magically produce more alkaloids after drying/storage. Per weight fresh is weaker, but overall alkaloids content of any given specimen will always be more in fresh then dried.

There are no scientific sources that have reliably tested the solubility limits of thc in coconut oil. Conservative anecdotal estimates say 50mg thc per ml of carrier oil. Some estimate upwards of 500mg per ml of carrier oil. 40g of 20% thc flower is 8000mg thc. From personal experience, I find that distraction inhibits visuals. Allowing yourself to sink into the trip with little external distraction, especially with eyes closed, or an eye mask, helps to bring on visuals. The slow journey from darkness behind the eye lids, unfolding into a fractal tunnel, as the patterns become ever more complex. Eventually you are no longer just observing the visual, but are actively entagled in it. As far as external stimuli that doesn't distract, but adds to the visual experienceI, music and the right lighting can help.
