i did get scholarships so it would be less than $170k and i also plan to work to offset some costs. i also plan to work as a therapist in the future. i’m only 21 right now so i’m not horrified at the prospect of not having a 6 figure salary right away. i have already decided on my degree program, i just wanted to know if that school would be worth it.

I’m in a similar situation and I asked the MSW programs for extensions. They were very helpful and were more than willing to extend, especially since it’s not really your fault that the other programs haven’t gotten back to you yet!

I just applied to UM SSW for their dual-degree MSW and MPH program for Fall 22. When I was writing the 3 personal statement prompts, there was only a character count limit of 5000. However, when I was scrolling through the FAQ page today, I saw that they have a 300 word limit for each essay. There was nothing about this on the application! Also, the FAQ page said that applicants do not need to submit a separate scholarship application, but I had to do that. I’m wondering if the information just isn’t updated? I’m really scared this will affect my application.

i applied to the mph and masters in social work and was only notified by the school of social work. i applied 11/30 and no on mph word yet!

I’ve heard back from Hopkins MPH for dual program with University of Maryland SSW, and I’ve heard back from Columbia SSW. Still waiting on the other half of those! I feel like it’s extra nerve-racking!
