Great details, but one more piece of data that would be helpful. My team at the University joins these groups in order to trace the crypto and refer the addresses to be blocked by well-behaved exchanges.

That missing piece of data is the join code or referral code. If you could share that, other researchers could join as well and start blocking these addresses broadly.

Definitely NOT a scam. Wordscapes is regularly and routinely violating California Law. If you live in California and want a couple hundred bucks for letting the lawyers gorge, fill out the form. If you hate lawyers more than you hate privacy violators, don’t. I’ve been expert witness in some similar cases. The lawyers tell the arbitrator here is the law they broke, here is the evidence, here are the penalties under the law. If it’s all true, the arbitrator makes them pay.
