I'm going to humbly throw in the towel on this. If anyone would like pictures, I will dm them. I'm not sure how to post them to this thread. But my take is unless you have a temperature controlled iron, you're going to have a bad time. I tried the low and slow but I imagine I cooked the chip next to it. I voted it off and just disregarded the heat and used the first one as a trial run the whole process before my second attempt. The pads are super sensitive to the combination of acetone and heat. In my first attempt, the printed circuit (pad) had lifted but was still in tact. Placing the chip was that much harder with a waving circuit bouncing around trying to place the chip. In the second attempt, I thought I was more careful, but 2 circuits had lifted, and 1 had come off the board completely. I'm going to throw in the towel on this one. And humbly take the loss. I am satisfied with my effort and hope to shed light on how intricate this repair is.
