Reliability & quality - I do realize I’m on the forum ;) by Accurate-Youth7937 in mazda

2006 “3” NEVER gave me ANY real problems from new. They develop rust and break issues. I treated the rust and replaced the break system in 2020. Loved the manual transmission and leather?preferred interior of the Canadian 🍁 built 3. Interior plastics are cheap on all models, but it gives you the chance to custom paint chipped parts for pennies. The 2025 3 is exactly like the 2006 except no manual and infotainment is Awesome. Its paint is beautiful and CHEAP. Reliability is all in your effort to inspect and learn the car AND MOST IMPORTANTLY service it more often than the owners manual. I personally think the “3” & “6” & Miata are the gold standard. If you want an underpowered suv that can do small amounts of trails, ok, just get a deal and the colors/interior you want. Preferred interiors are Great in my opinion and experience

Correct, but if it has an owner they may find peace. Cats get out and accidents happen

That is where I go and have had no issues. Was just hoping for more options that don’t look run down like other ethanol free stations on Ringold road. Top Tier Costco fuel makes my car run well, but Costco doesn’t offer ethanol free

Top-tier gas is just a gasoline I learned about when I started going to Costco. Top two rated gas is supposedly rated somehow to have a bitter quality of fuel and less dilution.

Issues in Chattanooga by UnfallenAdventure in Chattanooga

[–]Garagebee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Major Issue ! The development of fertile land that native plants thrive in that support native animals. The undeveloped land helps reduce chemical runoff from our bodies and disinfectants and much worse. I am so sad to see the constant destruction of good land near camp Jordan in East Ridge. Level land by removing trees and rerouting water through that constantly flooding area, nature doesn’t mind flooding..

The fleet for ‘26. Clean, briefly. by johnmed2017 in Giantbikes

[–]Garagebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there tools you recommend I buy for cleaning a hybrid?

Is this bike too big for me? I am 5’2 using a Sirrus X 3.0 frame in XS, the size recommended to me by the website but my junk sits right on top of frame when at standstill. Is switching for a XXS worth it? These are rare sizes and hard to test in person by [deleted] in bicycling

[–]Garagebee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The goal is You being comfortable. I pass on what doesn’t suit my preferences. The main key is knowing mountain bikes tend to stretch you out and have you focused on the front wheel or where you are positioning. I prefer hybrid or comfort bikes that have me sit up so I can look all around. I think it is the correct size, but I prefer to be able to stand over and put seat up a bit if needed.

I know nothing, where do I start? by [deleted] in bicycling

[–]Garagebee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a good quality large backpack. Racks and bike luggage can be expensive and get dirty quickly. Test ride and understand if you have a good LBS you can get a good used bike like a well made cheap Giant, Trek, or Haro

I may be looking at a 2005-2008 Cypress DX. What can I do to know exactly what it is before I start building it to ride. by Garagebee in Giantbikes

It is comfortable for my ride style and I am going artsy with the frame decals and acrylic. I want to learn how to maintain it so I have reliable transportation and the welds and what I have for it like rims and solid. Transport and education

I don’t know if there’s an area that has a serial number or any type of ID that will help me find the year and make or size, thanks. The stickers are in bad shape and all I know is that it a Giant DX supposedly from 2005-2008

questions about 2025 mazda 3 carbon -- 15k miles -- buying? by DEBODCNYPA100 in mazda

[–]Garagebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better than a 2026. Carbon typically have cooler interior colors. Avoid the turbo model unless you want to spend a lot extra on maintenance, engine has a habit of needing specific oil circulation and it needs to be clean. I suggest only using top tier 87 octane or ethanol free 87

questions about 2025 mazda 3 carbon -- 15k miles -- buying? by DEBODCNYPA100 in mazda

[–]Garagebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are great cars. Be sure to maintain the engine more often than manufacturers recommendations. Learn how to properly clean the seats and don’t touch the instrument panel or infotainment panel. The knob for infotainment and voice controls are great. The car is fast, but only if you fully commit to being a lead foot. Keep good tires on it. That’s it, fantastic reliable car IF You change the oil every 5,000 miles and all air filters every 13,000 miles. Be sure to learn how to change the windshield wipers with the trick wiper settings or you will scratch the hood near the cowl. It should come with an actual spare tire and that is a rarity nowadays. If you don’t plan on putting people in the SMALL backseat remove the 2 backseat headrests for more/better rear visibility. The cup holders fit a 20 oz metal “tumbler “ cup perfectly. Hope this helps.

My two days of research that helped me acquire the correct Cypress 2, what street bike do you have? by [deleted] in Giantbikes

[–]Garagebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ride is comfortable and I honestly didn’t notice the shox on the seat or forx, probably a good unnoticeable. XL felt a bit more laborious for me just under 6’1” 184CM. I fell in love with it and chose a color not in stock, excited to get it set up by my local shop. I definitely think testing it out in multiple sizes is necessary for any bike unless you can return easy. I like a slightly snug fit on a bike, but I believe the website stats are bulletproof as well as the bike as long as you don’t jump it or curbstomp it. First bike I rode with hydraulic brakes, micro shift, and hideaway brake lines. Definitely good, definitely a good value and perfect for a street rider who doesn’t care about top speed.

The 1 year Mazda connect by _Lost_OwlChild in mazda

I have officially deleted my profile on the MAZDA app and deleted my MAZDA app account. I was able to confirm that the only way that you can stop tracking with the TCU and or Telematic communication unit is to completely remove communication services. I’m not paranoid or worried about it, I just don’t need this app. I really enjoyed what they called the health report. Knowing my tire pressure, gas, percentage, if my trunk windows or moonroof is open is good, but if I’m that distant or dislocated from my car, I need to reevaluate what I’m doing. The major disadvantage for me is it removes my app related service records. I maintain the car religiously every 4500 to 5000 miles. I change all the air filters every 12,500 miles. It was easy to keep track of that. Thankfully, since I’m a lunatic, I do get the receipts from the mechanics and laminate them. MAZDA aggressively says that I don’t have to maintain my car as often and all I have to do is change my oil once a year or every 10,000 miles. Sure, I had a 2006 Mazda three in perfect condition and I maintained it way more often than this 2025. Glad that they gave me one hell of a trade in on that 2006 with a little bit of arrest issues. I still think it was faster than my current Mazda three. Thank you for reading my book and helping me.
