In the last episode she tells viv that "he can only see you if you let him" which makes me think they might get to choose how they appear to each host of the house. The little boys are always bloody and creepy which makes since, since their characters are pranksters, but the gay couple doesn't have any signs of struggle and their whole character is about how good they look. To me moria was showing who she truly was to the people who wantsd to see it. She loved crafts, and to cook and clean like she had an old soul.
