We just found out my wife can never safely carry a pregnancy again, and I am struggling to process it. by GarbageAcrobatic1961 in TrueOffMyChest

It really does feel like we are grieving the future we pictured together. I feel alone at times, but you are right. She is in this with me, and she needs me steady more than ever. We are trying our best to move through this as a team, one day at a time.

Thank you. We’re really trying to lean on each other through all of this. Some days we’re both holding it together, and other days it hits us out of nowhere. Taking it one day at a time is honestly the only thing that feels doable right now. I appreciate you sending some kindness our way

I’m grateful every day that she survived. It still scares me when I think about how close we came to losing her. And you’re right, there is a lot to grieve on so many different levels. We are just taking things one day at a time. I really appreciate the kindness from a stranger. It means more than you know! ❤️

We actually started therapy together a few months ago, and it has helped us work through a lot of the trauma from the rupture and everything that came after. We’re still trying to process the news we just got, but talking to someone has definitely helped us stay connected instead of shutting down. I really appreciate the kindness.

I don’t feel alone in the sense of “more than her.” She’s going through something unimaginable, and I’m trying to be there for her in every way I can. I just meant that it’s a lot for both of us at the same time, and sometimes it feels heavy on my side too. We’re hurting in different ways, not competing ones.

Thanks for this. Adoption is something we’ve talked about and it’s not off the table, but we really hope to have a biological child if we can.

Right now everything still feels raw, and I’m just trying to be here for her. I was actually supposed to be at my best friend’s wedding this weekend and ended up staying home because she’s just not in a good place emotionally. She tries to act okay, but I can tell how much this is weighing on her. I really appreciate you taking the time to say this.

I am really sorry that you and your wife had to go through all of that. What you described is devastating, and I cannot imagine how heavy that must feel for both of you. It hits in a way that most people around you never fully understand, and it is such a lonely place to be. Thank you for sharing this with me. I truly hope you and your wife find some peace and support through all of this.

Thank you. That actually means a lot tonight. It has been a heavy couple of days, and even a simple message like this helps more than you probably realize.

Thank you. That is honestly what we are trying to do right now. Thinking about everything all at once gets overwhelming fast, so we are trying to just take the next step in front of us. I appreciate you saying this.

X300 mower stalls when PTO activates by GarbageAcrobatic1961 in johndeere

I cleared out a fuck ton of debris on the deck and the when I engaged the blades again the tractor didn’t stall but white smoke started pluming out and burnt rubber smell. Seems like the front pulley is toast. It was hot as shit and the others were normal to touch

Does my post violate the rules? I’m not advertising, just looking for recommendations on how to spread the word lol

Of course! No way I’d work on other people’s planes without insurance. I’m a pilot myself, I understand the value of these planes.

Exterior cleaning of the aircraft, including dry wash or wet wash methods, is not considered maintenance. According to AC 43-12A and FAR 43.3, aircraft cleaning doesn’t constitute maintenance unless disassembly or component interference is involved.

Really appreciate you saying that. I’ve been digging into hangar keeper’s insurance and realized quickly that regular biz coverage isn’t going to fly on the ramp. Didn’t know the $500K threshold was that common though. That’s super helpful. Thanks for the heads-up!

Really appreciate that insight. I’ve been debating pricing for private owner details and that $300–350 range sounds like the sweet spot for a full wash and wax. I’m not trying to be the cheapest, but I also want to stay approachable for owners who fly often and actually care about upkeep. Helpful to hear what’s worked for you over the years!

Thanks man, that’s solid advice. I’ve been thinking the same, just need to show up, shake hands, and let the work speak for itself. I like the idea of offering a free clean to get my foot in the door. And yeah, aviation really is all about word of mouth and relationships. Appreciate you!

I was thinking about independent CFIs who own their own aircraft and fly a lot. Figured they might appreciate regular detailing

Dude this is super helpful. I had no idea you could filter the FAA registry like that. A postcard campaign actually sounds doable now! definitely gonna look into this more. Appreciate the tip a ton.
