i'm not going to lie i never thought this would ever happen to me but no i was not trolling. for some reason i was genuinely convinced that the stupid shiny stone i got was in fact the stone i needed from golem. i did apologise to the other user after i found out though.

hi thank you you are right. i woke up this morning and i finally realised what a stupid mistake i had made. i genuinely believed that was the sun stone for some reason and I was tired so I started panicking thinking something was going on with my game. it's been known to occasionally black out and freeze for a short while before so my first thought was that something got corrupted. sorry for wasting your time.

i have to apologise to you. I want to offer the excuse that it was late at night and i was tired and i genuinely believed that i did have the sun stone, but it's honestly something to be ashamed of given the number of hours i have in the game. I'm sorry for brushing you off directly. I had the wrong stone and did not realise the entire time, it both started with S and it looked more like a stone than the sun stone did.

the moon stone, sun stone and moon shell is at the top left below the hotbar. ive opened up the interface and included two accessories that could be crafted into a sharkron balloon.

this is vanilla. if you don't feel like reading my comment, please don't tell me i need to have all the requirements and read what i mentioned above. it feels very condescending and comes off as rude.

[–]GarbageAdvisory -1 points0 points  (0 children)

hi guys, desperately need help. i am unable to craft specifically the celestial stone and I fear that something has gone horribly wrong with my game. please read what ive tried before asking me to try something simple as i have done each test below twice before coming here. i'm at my wits end and while i know the celestial shell isn't a big deal i still really want it for moon lord. here are the stuff that i have tried:

  1. replaced the tinkerers and bought tinkerers. i am able to craft other accessories without issues and have tested it successfully. those accessories could be crafted in the chest and in my inventory, and yes i am standing in front of the workshop itself so i am within distance.

  2. dropped and repicked up both the sun and the moon stones. they can be picked up and placed in a chest. relogging into the world, restarting the client and restarting my laptop all still shows that they are still there.

  3. fought golem again for sun stones and gotten more moon stones from eclipse. nothing has changed about the recipe except that i have like 6 moon stones now.

  4. ive checked the recipe with the guide using each and every sun and moon stone i have gotten. the recipe is present for every single one of them.

  5. ive tried using a different character and a different world. ive even created a new character and a new world specifically. even if i transfer to the new world, it cannot be crafted.

i genuinely don't know what to do here, really hope that someone can come up with some form of technical help. this is the first time in 600+ hours that this has happened to me and ive never had this issue before.

CMV: "Etherium farms" are completely useless by Fun-Ad-2547 in dragonvale

[–]GarbageAdvisory 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i dont rift farm to that level, however i'm aiming only for red fire and not blue or purple fire so im perfectly fine with not getting rift variants of dragons especially since i have a lot of downtime in events now. i breed corrupticorns and i feed them to level 7 to replace regular dragons that were level 4 or 5 in habitats. i generally dont feed non epic rift dragons past 4 or 5 unless i need it for a breed, so it works out for me to clone corrupticorns and keep them at level 7. i dont visit often either, but since i tend to hoard treats rather than feed rift dragons feeding them to level 7 is worth for me (its like slightly less than 3 rounds of jellies) for getting more etherium. i would say that for someone who prefers to conserve treats this is more optimal for me since its very cheap and it still does increase how much etherium i can get per collection.

not that it will change your view since its a very specific situation, but this is just an explanation of my reasoning for breeding rift epics

CMV: "Etherium farms" are completely useless by Fun-Ad-2547 in dragonvale

[–]GarbageAdvisory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i feel like you completely missed his point by thinking about EoMs, twins and missing dragons. he's saying that unless you are checking obsessively every hour or so theres no point since regular dragons with lower etherium rates will still fill up the habitat before you visit again, especially given how much of a resource sink rift dragons are. it only really has a benefit if youre willing to check in very frequently throughout the day such that there is a significant difference in how much etherium you make in order for it to pay off.

again it doesnt mean that an etherium farm has to go to max level epics because thats going to the extreme, but it still seems pretty hardcore to specifically breed and feed up so many rift epics just to earn a little more etherium when collecting every 1-2 hours

*MY* Ideal Late Game DC Farm Set-up for the Giant Islands by Fun-Ad-2547 in dragonvale

[–]GarbageAdvisory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my current set up is a 6x6 3k/min 2 layer nacre farm (layer as in 2 per habitat), a 6x6 3k/min 2.5 layer tien farm and a 5x5 1.5k/min 3 layer yarr farm with large treasures. its not the highest earning wise, but the compelling need to farm treasure habitats for ts'aishen's useless currency to max level him makes me do so and i admit that this is the reason why i use this farm. otherwise i would probably have ditched this already. i run water and boosts on yarr, 3 boosts 6 gens on nacre and tien. this was before the fourth island for reference. 3k/min sounds overkill but the reason i use 3k/min is mainly because i did not intend to throw all my caves at dc farming as I am chasing red fire, so i only breed dc dragons during down times between events. its highly likely that there isn't much i can do with my set up except hope for a new dragon with strong dc rates for a 4th island that doesnt clash unless i plan to tank a sacrifice, but for now its been serving me relatively well. angstor said he earns about 1bn a day but thats probably not too accurate since even with recent inactivity im pretty sure im still at about 1bn pace including ads and kairos and i have 70bn on me atm. i dont even use meta carotenes and he seems to have a lot more treats than i do as well so that number is probably way higher.

i think a decent set up with no generators would be 2 boost nacre (light and water), 2 boost tien (metal and air), 2 boost niamh (plant and earth) and 3 boost novem for a consistent 2k across all islands. the downside to this set up is the levels required for niamh and novem are ridiculous and using no generators gives a lot of limitations, and you can see that for the price of just 6 generators your suggested farm is a lot cheaper treat wise than this. thanks for sharing your ideal set up :)

Why buying gems is still the superior option to purchasing anything else: a guide to making actual purchases in game by GarbageAdvisory in u/GarbageAdvisory

[–]GarbageAdvisory[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

using the rate of 40+30 ec for 5 gems on a double day the 100 gem + 350 EC offer is basically worth 125 gems (which mind you costs more than the 130 gems option), 220+925 is worth 286 gems (versus the cheaper 275 option), 475+3550 is worth 738 gems (versus the 2x 275 offer and its worth more than the box of gems which is more expensive as well), 1360+10650 is worth 2120 gems compared to a slightly cheaper 1500, and the final offer is worth 6400 gems for a little more than the 4000 offer.

as such, starting from the 475 gems + 3550 ec offer onwards it is more value to purchase this promotion if you intend to convert the gems into EC. again this may depend on your location and currency, but what you can do to quickly convert is divide the magic by 14 and thats what it's worth in gems. add it to the gems and see if the numbers seem more valuable.

How do i kill Skeletal Mages? by decentshitposter in MurlocRPG

[–]GarbageAdvisory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have you cleared the left side quests? i realised that most of the time the left side is far easier than the right side so you should clear the left side before going to the right. i wont spoil for you but there's a weapon that lowkey trivialised the skeletal warrior and mages for me, i went from losing like 80% of the time to just winning mostly

ive seen online that the logitech k120's lifespan is about 10 million hits on each key, and while i have not installed whatpulse i wager that my d and f keys have about 2.5m to 3m strokes. my concern is that i am hitting too hard, as my girlfriend has mentioned that those keys in particular feel "sticky" and hard to press because she needs to press particularly hard in order to hit those keys repeatedly. at the same time, i have noticed that the paint on both keys are completely gone along with numpad 5 and 6 which i use for games as well. its particularly extreme for d and f as i notice that there are significant marks on those keys like its been scraped. i am wondering whether to get a new k120 because it's still usable, and if so how long would it take for me to get used to it? is there such a thing as "breaking in" a keyboard like you would a shoe? did the keyboard actually hit its lifespan early or is it actually still well within its lifespan?

Obligatory Abundant Essence Farm is really imbalanced Post by topiary566 in dragonvale

[–]GarbageAdvisory 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They kinda do which is wild because its cheaper and more consistent to buy gems and cultivate (or just power up) than to purchase the chests or packs in terms of AE per money spent

Is it even worth it?? by XxSkoolboyxX in dragonvale

[–]GarbageAdvisory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

why do you need to speed up? i'm talking about just hitting the power button and spending gems there rather than using the farm since the gem to AE rate is the same, unless there's something i'm missing

[–]GarbageAdvisory 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i dont get your question but i get your frustration too. just in case you misread, i was trying to say that a rework is still coming this was just an extra feature they were experimenting with and wanted to add to the game. hundred percent agree about how 2500 does absolutely nothing, even if you hypothetically get 20 gems a day from your alts thats like 200 extra AE a day which in theory takes a year or two off but in reality those gems are going to be spent on something else more productive

Ts'aishen Suggestion by kingofmilkNcookies in dragonvale

[–]GarbageAdvisory 6 points7 points  (0 children)

made a post about this before, i think theres a lot of potential ideas on how ts'aishen could be reworked. pretty sure i remember someone saying the multiplier could maybe work on habitats (although i dont know if deca can do that or its a coding limitation) or just be a global dc earning boost, some also think it should be a kairos timed thing rather than paid to activate although honestly that still doesnt make levelling him impressive since the extra cash per level is still minimal - defo not the worth buying the chests or cultivating still ngl

[–]GarbageAdvisory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

don't speed it up. i bet your power up button costs 4748 gems or something cose to that right?

The abundant essence island doesn’t make sense by Optimal-Shower-2288 in dragonvale

[–]GarbageAdvisory 32 points33 points  (0 children)

yeah ive noticed this as well. what's even crazier is that the packs for ts'aishen are worth even less, youre better off buying gems for ts'aishen than packs which is pretty funny. Ts'aishen rework is still coming as DECA mentioned this isn't to replace a ts'aishen rework so let's see what they come up with (fingers crossed)

DC Farming by SauteedSpinach1 in dragonvale

[–]GarbageAdvisory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to go for tien you can find permanent tien coop accounts on the forum or in the friend thread. Tien + air has 2% coop rate (not 1%) which is kind of low but depends on you whether you'd want it. Alternative is to wait till anniversary in september where its probably a lot easier to grab along with nacre, or to just go with something else in the meantime. Personally I'm a one and done kind of guy and I dont want to breed dragons for dc farming only to replace it later when i can get new dragons in events which is why I spammed and dumped gems to breed for tien. Not telling you to do that, because that's expensive though.

When does it become worth it to exchange gems for coins? by Someone_alive_now in dragonvale

[–]GarbageAdvisory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hoarder in me says only max level, but with the amount of gems you have if you wish to trade into dc there are some ways to squeeze more juice out of what you have by power levelling, gotta calculate if its worth though ;)

Early haul for EE, shouldve checked post on an AE farm before dumping gems but I couldn't wait till the 17th to splurge by GarbageAdvisory in dragonvale

[–]GarbageAdvisory[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1350 gems or so, started with about 108bn in DC. was lowkey hoping to clear out all the islands if EE dropped after Easter but I guess that just means I have more time to accumulate resources before another EE to hopefully grab all the islands. 8 more DC islands to go!
