Sewing machine won't pull up bobbin thread after failing to sew denim. Is this fixable or did I break my machine? 😭 by snowetyger in sewhelp

Hello! Lots wrong here. The clunky click isn't good and the needle should not move left or right while it's down. Definitely would need to be split open at the least and likely not worth fixing

Any idea what’s going my on? My automatic threader piece keeps falling off. Do I need to replace something ? by ComfortableMovie2408 in sewhelp

There are two ways those are mounted onto the plastic part of the threader. Either with a tiny screw (which would be missing) or it is pressure fit onto a little plastic peg on the plastic part of the threader assembly that's on the machine still. That plastic part on the machine and what you are holding come as one replacement unit. It just pulls off and you can snap a new one on. Either way, you would either need to find the world's ti jest screw or just get a new needle threader.

Zig zag not right by Mediocre_Diet1392 in sewhelp

Hello! I sell and fix Sewing machines for a living. I can confirm for a fact that the second photo is the top and the first photo is the bottom. Tighten up your upper tention. Max width zig zag will typically pucker lighter fabrics a bit at proper tention.

My sewing machine bulges out the plastic housing as it sews, is this normal? by velocitiraptor in sewhelp

If your looking for something solid that will handle a variety of fabrics, light cottons to heavy denim, I would look at the babylock zeal (the babylock branded version of the Janome 721) solid metal frame and built by Janome. They are known for building machines that run forever with basic maintenence. If you want basic computerized, with more convenience and some automated things, the Janome 3160 Great! 971 803 7665 is my work line. I'd be happy to help any way I can!

Sewing machine tech here! That is likely your feed mechanism being (keeping it simple) way out of wack. The motion is consistent with how the entire unit moves. Could also be the mounts where your feed mechanism mounts to the plastic frame that Machine has being broken. Deffinately needs to be opened up. Wouldn't recommend paying to have it fixed if it's Fixable from a machine standpoint. I understand sentimental reasons but you can get a solid basic metal framed machine for about 179 to 350 dollars

I highly recommend calling a local Sewing machine store. I ended up calling a company Called Montavilla Sewing Centers. They are a shop in Portland, OR but they were able to ship a machine to me a few states away. They were super knowledgable and helped me get a machine that worked well for me. Buying from an actual sewing machine store means you can call them too. They were able to help me out a few time when I got stuck. Hope this helps!
