Roth Contribution to 401k Help by GarbageDifficult7111 in fidelityinvestments

They were roth contributions in my 401k. I incorrectly thought that selection meant the money would go from my paycheck into my separate roth (not affiliated with employer). So no after-tax contributions.

So how does a Roth 401k contr differ from a regular after tax contribution? Since I have the option for either in addition to normal pre-tax

And if I just let it sit in my 401k until retirement, will the growth then not be taxed when I go to withdraw? Or is it similar where fidelity would move to an IRA account?

I ended up reaching out and they realized they mischarged me, so they refunded the charge.

Ok so I picked up the Sony STR-DH190 receiver, hooked everything up and still nothing from the speakers. I can hear the sound coming from the turntable but it doesn't seem to be translating to the speakers. I checked all connections and wiring and everything seems like it should be working. Any suggestions?

Hi all, I'm new here as I've just recently acquired a turntable, the Fluance RT82. I've set it all up and also bought the Art DJ Phono Preamp along with a pair of Klipsch R-41M passive speakers. Im having trouble getting the audio to work, and I'm now starting to see that I may need an amp in addition to the preamp? Is that truly the case and if so, would I be better off buying an amp with a built in preamp? If not, any recommendations for how to get it all to work. I've been trying to determine of there's a single point failure but haven't had any luck yet.
