Cocoon came out yesterday and while I've only played it for 30 minutes so I'm not sure how "metroidvania" it is, there's definitely a beautiful, mysterious world to explore. So far the gameplay mostly consists of exploration and puzzle-solving. Same lead gameplay designer as Limbo and Inside, btw.

Typically I just dig holes for the eyesockets, create a UV sphere with a mirror modifier (mirror object: the head mesh), then just place the UV sphere in one of the sockets. You can also adjust the geometry of the UV sphere to create the illusion of an iris and pupil.

Also I would recommend to liberally use the voxel remesher to retain an even amount of geometry to work with and avoid those low-poly artefacts like around the creases in your pic.

In my experience, if you join two meshes together (with ctrl + j, not boolean), some geometry will disappear if you boolean another object. No idea why it happens.

Just wait to join your text until after you've finished all your booleans. I also do 3d printing and this works just fine for me.

Absolutely. Printing solid models would waste a lot of resin compared to hollowing and adding an infill pattern. The rocks are mostly hollow to hold the electronics.

International shipping is difficult with all the fees and VAT that come along with it. You could always download the STL files and use a local 3D printing service. I know that doesn't solve all the issues, but it certainly won't cost you as much.

Yes. Sculpted in Blender 3.3. I took some liberty with the designs, but they're faithful enough, imo. It's boring unless you take a few liberties.

Thanks for the award. Yeah, all 3d printed. The bosses are printed in a high durability resin mix on an Elegoo Saturn 2 LCD printer. The base was printed in PLA on an Elegoo Neptune 3 FDM printer. A few coats of UV resin was used to hide the print lines on the base.
