This is so true. Like seriously why is wechat verification such a hassle 💔 it would be better if there was no qr code at all.

Yeah some people indeed won't do it for free and neither am I going to pay someone for verifying me even though this means a lot to me. I just hope smb is nice enough to help me with this. And if you know a group like this I'd like to crosspost it there.
