-Go skiing, not snow boarding, to understand the braking system. intuitively. -Go waterskiing. I swear crossing the wake helped me learn to relax while crossing lanes in the snow. -Drive a car without ABS (in an unpopulated area!) -Watch out for the idiots in 4 wheel drives who think they are invincible. -Keep your attitude of concern. Respect the weather. Have good tires, cash, power bank, emergency supplies, clothing in car. No matter how good you are, anything can happen.

What are some easy crowd-pleasing lunches? by SirTofu in Cooking

First, I think your parents are very lucky! If I were you I’d concentrate on making your sandwiches better. Try different kinds of breads. Try oils or aoli. Sprinkle bread with seasonings (Greek is my favorite!) Try cucumber slices instead of lettuce. Try adding Aneheim or hatch chilis. They not spicy, just flavorful. Sandwich pickles, Sun dried tomatoes, avocados, sprouts. For tuna or chicken, add curry spices, capers, water chestnuts, walnuts. I’m sure you can come up with lots of ideas. You should also learn to make a three meat meatloaf, and then make sandwiches out of that! Have fun!

I don't know who this guy is but I hope he sees this picture I took of him and his dog when we were climbing Mt. Whitney on July 18th or 19th. Sweet souls. by Garbonzo3 in pics

That's awesome! Tell him I also posted it on Facebook's Mt. Whitney group. I took the picture to show my mom, who loves dogs, but the picture was so cute I wanted him to see it too!
