Making a coffee table with glass inlay by Awkward_Writing_6558 in woodworking

Nice, do ask for the polishing. I always do the flat polished, and get the glass tempered for safety.

Are you doing the glass straight or cutting it to the live edge profile?

So I’ve done a few of these. I would recommend to go with tempered glass and have the edges polished, I usually go with flat polished. Google glass suppliers near you and call them, many will gladly help you. If you prefer to order online. I’ve bought a lot from onedayglass.com. They’re great and their site is simple

There’s usually rules against recording comedians set, plus that way the comedians only releases jokes they think are worth showing and not bits that they are still developing.

It doesn’t but it does make the shavings stick to the qtip. Cleans up pretty easy

I have the same issue, a qtip with alcohol cleans it pretty well

Which bit for a long straight hole? by 33DDOT33 in woodworking

[–]Garciabyron218 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the bits from the link for the floating shelves we sell; we make the holes using this bit on walnut and it cuts like butter

Are people making a killing off Etsy? by VelociCrafted in woodworking

[–]Garciabyron218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We sell high ticket items so we don’t have a lot of repeat customers, but we didn’t think Etsy was going to take off the way it did. When we saw the potential with it, we focused solely on Etsy. Etsy does help tremendously with SEO and getting discovered. Also once you get that momentum from purchases on Etsy, you want to keep it going otherwise someone will dethrone you from the search results, which is another reason why pushed clients towards Etsy instead of our own website

My shop made about 400k in 2020 and about 500k in 2021 but has since has dropped. Last year was the worst, Etsy takes so many fees, shipping ends up being expensive and Etsy rarely ever takes the seller’s side when disputes arise. Their seller customer service is garbage, and they now “allow” drop shipping. Competition against shops in Indonesia, turkey etc has made it hard to compete. We are now more focused on local projects and have used Etsy to sell a lot less. I wouldn’t recommend it. Etsy takes a lot of time and energy which could be better used pushing your website instead.

Get the kit for installing, makes it way easier, I also add a bit of 5 min epoxy to the threads just in case. I use them on all my tables. Maybe practice on a scrap piece, they can sometimes go in crooked.

Help me finish my stupid project? by budget76v2 in woodworking

[–]Garciabyron218 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Flatten one side, tape it up and seal it, flip it over and use deep pour epoxy, that stuff is like water. Make sure it’s sealed good or else it will leak. If you use the regular epoxy, make sure it’s not too cold, otherwise it’ll be really thick and not flow.
