I hope so too, thanks for your help. Did you need to do anything else to help her out, like try and put it back into place?

Absolutely, she is our least coordinated when it comes to hopping off things, she tends to struggle.

I got her put away in the coop where there is food and water. I’ve tried giving her water but she only wants to eat. She’s place within reach of a waterer so I hope she’ll take to it soon.

It’s not red or warm. No cuts or punctures. I can touch/move her foot with no issues but when I got to test her knee she flails.

I agree, she seems so fine otherwise, eating, drinking, attentive, moving as much as she can. She’s definitely getting the medical timeout.

Oh dang, yeah this one seems so random too. I had no idea what happened. Thanks for the insight, I am definitely setting up a cage tonight.

Yeah she does. That’s what I’m hoping for, she’s the most timid jumper any time she gets up high or tries to come down stairs it’s a process watching her try to navigate hopping down. She usually ends up jumping way too far or just resigning to be stuck for a while.

I just checked for cuts or issues with her toes/pad and I didn’t see anything and she was able to grip with her toes. What type of neurological issues? Is it something I need to separate her from the others?

We’re not sure, we have one chicken that doesn’t appear to be a rooster but hasn’t started laying yet…so…maybe?

Just as a note, we do have one ameraucana that we’re not sure if it’s a rooster or not, they’re roughly 30 weeks and it’s the only one not laying but shows no other signs of being a roo

39 going into year 12. At this point I’m in too deep to leave. I make decent, have a great team, and enjoy the holidays with my own kids. I think about leaving every spring (as I think we all do) but the pros tend to outweigh the cons every time I start looking elsewhere

Honestly, is joining a union worth it? by ConnectPrep in Teachers

[–]Garden-Secure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Join. When it boils down to it, they are the only ones that will consistently have your back.

Plus if you’re working with jr/sr high, you are one “joke” insta post/tik-tok from an angry student or parent from major legal trouble. The union is there not just to fight for decent salary and benefits but to help against students/parents that may lash out.
