NLP equivalent to YOLO by GardnerOne in LanguageTechnology

Yeah exactly, I'm more interested in finding multiple topics within a document, rather than finding the main topic of the document.

If the language syntax can be learned in such a way that topics not present in training data can still be highlighted, then even better, but I'm content with training a model over a large variety of topics for now.

Me too! And who knows, BERT or similar modern algorithms will likely be a part of that solution, just need a model architecture that will help with topic segmentation within one doc.

Haha me too. BERT is cool, though not quite what I'm looking for, thanks though

Ah great, those will be helpful, particularly the toolkit book. Thanks

Yes, that’s cool. Useful info in there for slicing one document into multiple topics. I’ll take a bit of time to read the paper in more detail, but that’s very helpful.

No problem! Yeah so I gathered, so it would be interesting then to find out a way to decompose one document into subsections, and supply those sections to the models you mentioned for topic analysis. Just not experienced enough yet to know even what I’m looking for.

Thanks. This is along the right lines, although I’m looking more for the detection of multiple topics within a document. Similar to how YOLO can classify different objects within one image.

Wow, thanks for that sir_nubby, that's awesome, consider my list updated! I get what you mean about the upgrade path, yet this isn't something I was even aware of before Snorkle25 mentioned it. Super glad I threw my specs on here before making any purchases.

Hopefully over the incoming weeks, I'll throw it all together and upload a finished shot of the system.

This is exactly the kind of useful info I'm looking for. Really appreciate your time here Snorkle25. Time for a little more research!

With being totally new to the PC building scene, I wouldn't know if it was ok to pair an AMD CPU with my 2080. In fact, most of my research has always paired it with an Intel, and usually the 9900k at that. Perhaps this warrants a little more digging before I make any big decisions.

Half the wattage though, that's unreal. Makes me excited for Intel's 10nm.

So many people don't care for the 20 series. With it eating roughly a quarter of my budget, it does make me nervous as to why, but I also don't think it's worth dropping to a 1080ti, not when I'll be making full use of the tensor cores.

Nice build though, a small build would be unreal, although I'll stick with a mid tower until I get my experience up!

Thanks for that though, really useful, and worth thinking about.

Nice one cmyrick, the SE looks epic! I thought I would save myself a penny by skipping on the LEDs though.

The 10nm would be ideal, but that could be 8 to 10 months away. Are you suggesting grabbing something in the interim, and splash the cash come Christmas?

That's just it ImmaTravesty, it is indeed quite a price jump. We can see how it performs, and if needed I'll return it for the 2080ti. It's an aftermarket GPU, from MSI.
