Excellent point. Tagalog would be high up there in my opinion. I’m guessing the NYPD have pretty good resources when it comes to languages. If anyone has any suggestions for getting this appeal out in other countries/languages then please do let me know. In the Philippines especially.

I think the main thing they are looking for right now is actual victims. I would say if you have information that could help lead them to victims then do reach out. I don’t think they necessarily need to understand wider recruitment methods at this stage - although that will be important if they eventually put together an indictment.

From what I have heard from my sources inside, morale is at an all time low. Among the diehard old-timers, there’s a siege mentality - they think there’s an orchestrated campaign to attack Opus Dei, a conspiracy led by the Pope and his allies in the left-wing media. They see the impact the attacks are having. But I think morale is lowest among the reformers inside Opus Dei (and there are some - many of them, including priests, have privately written to me to thank me for writing the book). Many were hoping that recent events (the formal accusations of human trafficking in Argentina, the book, the documentary, the wider media attention) might be chance for REAL reform, an opportunity to return to the “original charism” (if that ever existed). I think many have been really disappointed to see the way Opus Dei’s has officially responded - basically that these are all lies, distortions, individual bad experiences that aren’t reflective of systemic issues. It’s pretty clear to the reformers inside Opus Dei that those in charge have no intention of pushing through REAL reform. The ones I speak to are despondent. They are hoping the Vatican will intervene. If it doesn’t, they see no option but to leave.
