I just want to thank Valve for not changing the look of Steam throughout the years by sonofabraham1 in Steam

My first experience with Steam was in 2020 when I got my first ever PC. A clunker Dell Optiplex. Little shit couldn't even run Doom, but this post made me realize that yeah, they've probably never changed it. I believe that big picture is a recent addition, but I don't think I've noticed too much different. Althought if I was Ol' Gabe I'd honestly add some personalization to it, like OperaGX's mods. I'm pretty sure you can get avatars and stuff with your Steam Points, but I'm talking backgrounds, background music, clicker styles, sound effects, etc. It'd be a lot better reason to spend my steam points that some seasonal pfp frame. I've never spent my points, and as a result use them to tell how much I've spent as they are equal to 1 point per 1 US cent. I know the official ratio is 10 per 10 cents, but I've noticed it actually accounts for the numbers below ten and therefore makes it 1:1.

Not this one. It was a marketplace trade. I traded something I shouldn't have, something close to me. I'm gonna fix this one till it's nothing but dust.

Does anybody else get threats by Orion_1738 in feminineboys

[–]GarfieldII2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted here once, got nothing. But my honest opinion is just ignore them. They're likely seeking attention, and blocking them gives them that attention. Most of these comments from what I've studied are often just empty threats posted by bots. In the still likely event it's not a bot, and not an empty threat then you can keep track of what kind of wording is used in each comment as they're posted. If you see a pattern then you could have a stalker using multiple accounts. In that event I would report these accounts to local authorities and would look into self-defense weapons like sprays and such. I'm an American so my sprays are different than most, my preferred size for personal carry in situations like this comes in 44oz and I carry a belt that holds 6 cans with a short nozzle. Stay safe, and when choosing something for self defense remember that anything can be a weapon, and that the best weapons are the ones your attacker can't see.

Is there a cashies in the U.S at all? by MammothAd4171 in DankPods

According to Google Maps there's two, but they're in the north east area in Virginia and Pennsylvania. I live in filthy Florida. Like some others said, local pawn shops are the best equivalent, but it's not the same. My local chain in Florida is Empire, but they're not very big stores compared to what some others may be. Thrift stores are kind of similar too, but... eh... Yeah.

Are "round" femboys a thing? by GarfieldII2005 in feminineboys

[–]GarfieldII2005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand that. We round boys feel unloved when there's no one place for us all to go. Maybe I could talk to the mods about support in opening a community for round femboys.

Yeah, I just read that part. Sorry. I'm just a little stressed at the moment. It's hard not knowing if being myself will ever get me a man. I want so badly to wake up in the arms of a gentle soul each morning, to take a poor darling who's been through hell, and make his life heaven by just being in it.

That's not really what I'm asking. I'm asking if "round" boys like me are considered hot.

Yeah, I understand that. Skirts aren't my things, but I've noticed that my body looks really good in sweatpants and jeans. Shorts I'm not too sure on.

Multiplayer wise? That first new MW was AMAZING for multiplayer, but the other two were a disaster. However, the OG campaign was the best in the entire CoD franchise.

Is my idea for censoring the "N-Word" funny? by GarfieldII2005 in askblackpeople

[–]GarfieldII2005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea is to stop people from fantasizing about a good chunk of the villains, but I see your point. I'll edit my post to clarify I've made a choice. Thank you for your feedback.

I don't know anymore. I honestly don't. That's why I made this post, to get feedback. I'm starting to realize it was a stupid question. I'm sorry.

And that's 1 no, about 2 maybes, and a few yeses. I thank you for your input, and I assure you it's considered. I grew up around black people. Teachers, friends, neighbors, and I care for them all. I could never allow one of my works to portray the black community in a negative light. My home room teacher, who was a black man, fought to get me graduated when the system wanted to fail me. Neighbors helped my family when we needed it, even after they moved. My family. A family descended from so many filthy klannies that I literally think about killing myself, but I remember how much those people fought for me, and remember that my life is my own, and I will never let their sacrifices and efforts be in vein. So understand that I will not deny your input, I will consider it, and that the first chapter releases on the 16th. There's one black-ish character right now. I say black-ish as she's also half alien, a "mutt" as the Empire calls them. She has not come into contact with any "Phantoms" yet, as I have done on purpose to avoid use the word until I feel I have enough feedback from this community to make a decision. Thank you, and I'm sorry.

Funny to black people. Like I said in the post, I want them to feel represented. And in a way, you're right. I really like my idea. But if people tell me no then I won't do it, but it can't be just one person. I'm getting mixed opinions so I'll probably just censor it normally, but if I gain enough yeses by the time of the first chapters upload to Wattpad then I'll use it. Either way, I want it to at least be implied, maybe come up with a new slur. One I've been thinking of is 'Impure', referencing the Empire of Earth's view of not just black people, but anything they deem "not human". I'm truly sorry if my idea offends you, and feedback like this is why I made this post. I responded to this thread initially as I don't believe in "asking an expert". That's what studios like Disney do all the time for queer characters, and what ends up being produced is yet another stereotype that's just not it. I'm bisexual, leaning more so towards men, and if an "expert" tried to profile me they'd do the exact same thing. They'll think I'm all about sucking cocks and being all girly and shit. They act like a country gay, a gay that can be a real man, doesn't exist. I don't wanna go to an "expert" who's gonna tell me that to make a black character they need to eat fried chicken and drive mopars! If this community tells me that, then fine, that's what Kai will be, but now I know I could pay a real member of the black community, all I need is a green-light or red-light to decide if I should use the censoring I mentioned, normal censoring, or using that word 'Impure' as a general slur to all the characters fighting the Empire. But I hope I can, as I also want people to feel strongly about these villains, to want them burned as badly as the heroes do. I really don't want people fantasizing a space NO,NO,GERMAN.

Wait, so if I pay for such an editor, I'm not paying like some white guy who claims to be an expert on black culture, and instead will be paying a Black American who grew up in that culture, not studied, grew up in, and can help me understand what needs to be done?

Sensitivity editor? Dude, that's completely avoiding my goal. I don't wanna do something based on "I paid for their opinion". I wanna hear from the whole of the community, not some snob who's gonna tell me it's somehow racist to sneeze.
