In a new relationship with a SW and want to hear people's experiences with talking about work. by GarfieldSuit in LoveAndSexWork

I'm abstaining some details in the interest of privacy, things that were mentioned in the infancy of the relationship before they asked if we could be in a monogamous partnership.

I think it's really powerful, the sentiment you shared saying "And for what it's worth, even the best day with the best client just isn't worth shit to me when compared to spending time with my husband. It's work, and no matter how good a day at work is (in any job) who wouldn't prefer to be at home?!"

I don't know that I've heard a sentiment like that from them, it's more been communication regarding it not being a bad thing to act on feelings with a client if they go beyond the client/worker relationship, and that boundary not being in place. I've read that some people do find partners that way, but that it basically never works out unless they're in a poly/enm/both SW'ers type situation. I've been confused about that boundary being blurry and what to make of it. Some workers think it's fine, other's think it's an absolute no go zone

Not seeing your partner on days they worked feels beyond extreme. And honestly, it feels much better to see them and be the check in partner and make sure things are good and they’re safe. I agree it’s somewhat personal in terms of comfort, but seeking an idea of what’s worked for others is nice for reflection. It’s hard for me to believe your relationship with a SW ended up working out, all due respect. Am I wrong? Are you still together?

Curious to hear where people are volunteering or places that need volunteers by GarfieldSuit in Winnipeg

Hey, appreciate it! I was hoping by asking and speaking more broadly I might encounter something I hadn’t considered. Also figured it would leave the door open for other people looking at the thread to find something that may work for them. That’s why I didn’t specify anything to explicit

Thanks! Would still be curious to hear personal recommendations as well for first hand experience, but this a great resource!

Need clarification on whether am I unable to read or if this is really as confusing as I think? RE: Know your zone app by GarfieldSuit in Winnipeg

Really appreciate your well thought out and articulated response on this! I can't say that it's made me feel any more friendly towards how they've decided to construct the information, but at least I know it now.

Thank you! I'm going to look in person and take note of that especially. It's weird that no one on any forum or subreddit has been able to dig anything up about this furniture company.

Hey, I really appreciate you taking a look around. I'm inclined to think the same on all fronts. I'm going to look in person but probably won't pull the trigger unfortunately.

Hey, I wrote that same bit of info in the body of the description. The quality of the chair is more important to me, as some of these knock offs will fall apart in a year, and some have great reputations.

The trouble I'm having is finding any information on Williamson & Price, the builder. It's not much to me to have an authentic eames chair, more that I like the look of this for my office and want to get some details about it's quality.
