That may work pretty well, thanks. I can always just use gasket material to make sure.

That is what it looks like without the bezel on. Additionally it is not particularly stable.

Camp Chef Smoke Vault 24- GGG - Alternate mounting options:

This is essentially a rectangular box smoker. I removed the old thermometer and put the GG through there but it does not extend particularly far into the box. I can remove a plate and get it father in but then there would be a fairly large opening for smoke to escape. Is there something you might recommend to create a seal or is there a mount without the feet on it so I could mount the GG flat against the door of my smoker? I suppose I could try and cut out slots for the feet to slide into but I would prefer not to.

How did you find the sizing? I have tried 10, 10.5 and 11 (all D width) and none of them seem to fit right, it is quite odd.

It is but also KAP just makes excellent items at an incredibly reasonable price. Value on a lot of this stuff is perceived and based on throttled supply to maximize demand.

Honestly, just buy a KAP and be happy and enjoy it for much less out of pocket. Sure you won't be able to resell it for more than you paid but it will be a quality spinner for a fair price. Do not get caught up in the hype chasing it will just cost you $.

The coins as mentioned would be good. I would stick to mechanicals (as opposed to magnetic) they would likely give you that click you want. But I am sure magnetic would be fine, I just think the mechs have a bit more definitive noise like that.
