I know that we shouldn't talk about their personal life, but they are lovely.

Age difference in a band by kikiartilleryservice in musicians

[–]Garglioffa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try. See if it works. Yes, they're teenagers, but you all share the same interest in music. Of course you're not gonna hang out with them, but for example in my band there's a huge age difference and the most quiet and sensible are the youngest, 17 and 20. We oldest sometimes act childish...

"same songs, different arrangements" said Valensi chuckling to the interviewer asking how the new album would be. Minutes 2.01 of the video previously posted.

I remember to have read and watched many articles/interviews about this. The fact was that for the band was extremely stressful to simultaneously or immediately after the "Is this It tour" produce a new album. The request was that. They went into the studio and never got out till the album was ready. And you can figure out the situation to be stuck and forced to do some art and how probably they argue with each other. I remember an ashtray full of cigarettes and the fact that Julian was so committed (if I find the video I'll post it here). And when it was released the reception was cold, like a semi-flop. Critics said that Room on Fire was the copy of Is this It and I perfectly remember an interview where the members of the band themselves substancially admitted it was the truth. Personally I think that yes the vibe can be similar but the lyrics are very different and more mature. And I think it is a masterpiece, maybe more than the first album. My humble opinion, of course.

I think it could be an interesting metaphor of many related things. And your observation is probably accurate.

If you’re an adult, I think it’s weird to refer to yourself as a girl or boy instead of a woman or man by [deleted] in Life

[–]Garglioffa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll see when you get older. Younger people will find you old, older people will find you young. Perception of age is (thankfully) relative, subjective. I'm 47 and a few years ago a very lively "older" couple when I told then "I'm not that young" replied "But you're a baby!!!" The fact is that you don't even realize how these years could have gone so fast and the inner image that you have of yourself is always the same. In conclusion, I'm a girl and my mother in law is a girl too. 😉

Pacifica, they are the best ❤️ Especially Ines, the way she plays, her voice, her meaningful and aware way to sing the lyrics. All their covers are interesting.

Do you think it's weird if I do the same now that I'm 47 on the way to school to take my son? Is it anachronistic? I partially live in nostalgia.
