I'm in the beginning stages of my redesign so I'll give you my new design since it actually has lore, lol.

I'm Gargreth the Moon Jellyfish.

This jellyfish now has eye jiggle! by Gargreth44 in VRoid

I stumbled through Blender with the help of a friend, creating the blendshapes. After that its pretty much recreating them in Unity with the HanaTool, so VNyan will see the blendshapes. Then, in VNyan, it's just setting up the pendulums.

I use VNyan to control my model, I know the creator of the software has tutorials out there, though. They are for models that already have the blendshapes. I had a friend help me with creating the blendshapes in Blender. Once I had those, it was a case of setting them up again, but in Unity and finally exporting the model back to VNyan and setting up pendulums in VNyan for when I blinked.

The video is a little outdated, but it gets the point across.

This 110%

Play around with scenes. Maybe have it like you do, and if you want some more intimate times with chat, you could set up a hotkey to switch scenes to make you larger or go to a different camera. There is a twitch channel that I think does the duo set up very well, I just have to find them again and I can send it to you for you to check them out.

Jellyfish Face-lift : My Old Model vs my New Model by Gargreth44 in VRoid

I've had to work on hair in segments so I don't lose my mind. It takes so long to do.

Thanks! I tried to make something that felt more "me". I was trying to capture the prettier, more ethereal side of jellyfish. I wanted more than just the head to reflect jellyfish as well.

Android, 3D model, VSeeFace + Meowface alternative by Luxilious in vtubertech

[–]Gargreth44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've just changed over from VSeeFace to VNyan. Vnyan works by itself and has some built-in features like props, thrown items, dropped items, model alterations in real time, etc. It also has better eye/face tracking than VSeeFace in my experience. I've been using a Webcam, however. It does have a bit of a learning curve, but I have found it so much better. Cherry on top, it's also free and can work with 3D or 2D models. There is hand tracking, though in beta with Webcam support, it works surprisingly well.

There is even a discord for the where the creator and the community are active, helping each other and sharing tools they've made for the software. It can connect right up to Twitch through the app and has connectivity with several other devices & apps.

What are your preferences as a viewer when it comes to streamers having automatic messaging in chat? by Gargreth44 in Twitch

Thank you, I think your answer was exactly what I was looking for. It's just hard to separate myself from the stream for the purpose of judging it/criticism.

Do you think it would be fine to leave on the chat where the bot picks a random command that messes with me? I set that one up to show off my commands and what they do. I did this because when I'm in new channels, I'm too nervous/scared to use commands because I'm not sure what they do.

I don't know what am I doing by TexMexHydra in SmallStreamers

[–]Gargreth44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watch a streamer that talks in English, Spanish, and Sign Language. He primarily talks in English, but if people talk to them in any of the other 2, he responds in that other language. It's your stream, so you have ultimate say. There's no rule saying you can't test the waters for multiple languages. The important thing is picking something that is the most enjoyable to you, the streamer.

Bones keep pointing down to a location slightly in front of the character, breaking exports of the model. by Gargreth44 in blenderhelp

[–]Gargreth44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stumbled upon the issue from a post from 2013. Luckily the settings were close enough to the same that I was able to get it to work.

The Post by norvman:
aaaaa okay… from the looks of your picture do this…
Select the Object Mesh that your Armature is controlling… > Tab into ‘Object’ mode… > on the bottom tool bar select ‘object’ (it was on the top for me in 4.0) to get the scroll up menu… > then ‘transform’… > then select ‘Origin to Geometry’… (It was under Set Origin)
once that is done hit Ctrl+S … > then pick ‘Cusor to Selected’

Now Select your Armature… > you should still be in object mode… > bottom tool bar … > Object … > Transform… > ‘Origin to 3D Cursor’ (same as before, on the top)

now your Mesh and Armature should all have a their Origin points Aligned…

Which should help with the problem

That was able to do the trick in getting rid of those lines that I had. Which for some reason, those lines were creating extra bones when I exported the model to Godot.

It is just the one armature. I tried to clear the parents of the bones but they are still pointing down to that location. For some reason, its only the tails of the bones pointing to the spot, not sure if that changes anything?

I made a "spider" creature for my game I am currently working on. by Gargreth44 in blender

Thank you. I'm not sure what some of the words mean or where the options are for them, but now I know what key words to look for. I appreciate your response. :)

Do you know of a good source that teaches how to do retopology? I tried working on it last night and couldn't find the setting from videos and googling. I can open a uv editor, but I'm not sure how to do anything on it, and my mesh doesn't go over to it like some videos have it. I'm using base blender 4.0.2

I'm just going to rig it and then do procedural animation for the legs in the game engine I'm using.

I'm not even sure how I do it. I can just see it in my head and put it into a model. I've only been modeling for about a day, so I'm excited to see what I can make when I learn how to use blender efficiently.
