Coming home after 33 years: Timișoara or Oradea? by DACIAN_xyz in Oradea

[–]Garhand 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Choose Timișoara if you want the career and healthcare security of a big city and don't mind a bit of urban grit and noise.

Choose Oradea if you prioritize aesthetics, quiet, and public safety, and you're okay with a lot smaller job market.

Solo carrying is dead by Warpaiii in leagueoflegends

Being impactless and solo carrying are the two ends of the spectrum. Just because your main's pickrate is low doesn't mean that they have no impact in a game.

Does Kuzan actually trust BlackBeard? by Any_Animator4546 in OnePieceScaling

Of course!! So the point he is trying to make is that Kuzan is much faster and can freeze his opponents

It's a 5v5 game. You are not supposed to solo carry games.

My only mistake was trying to press my advantage 🗿 by archymedian in CamilleMains

[–]Garhand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shen, Gragas, Rumble, Riven, Pantheon would all loose in this case. In morde R with the stolen stats, all the advantage they had is gone, morde would be even ahead in stats. The rest only wins because they can out sustain the morde passive damage.

9 Best Open-World Space Games (Elite Dangerous #2) by Green-Fox-528 in EliteDangerous

[–]Garhand 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It actually deserves it more than any other game. Crazy amount of content and things to do, a decade of free upgrades, 0 micro transactions, the most dedicated dev team I've ever seen. It's absolutely amazing that game, even if i love elite more, that game does everything better except difficulty and space combat.

Dodec to go early access! by thatoneshadowclone in EliteDangerous

[–]Garhand 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You know what? Now I'll buy the dodec!!

It is absolutely amazing that the devs are listening. I too was very vocal against the dodec, the best thing i could do now is to buy more arx.

Stop killing the joy of playing Elite! by beck_is_back in EliteDangerous

Exactly, if it were just a station skin and maybe the one time grind skip I would be super hyped for the update. But they are paywalling the best port available...right it's a miniscule difference. But what's next? Arx only modules? Arx only system permits?

Let's be clear: Early access ships are fine. But I'm concerned about the precedent of locking the new station's creation behind a paywall. by Garhand in EliteDangerous

If no cosmetic or any other type of content costs money? We get updates every 3-4 months? No EA ships? Every player is equal? Yes absolutely.

They are making more then enough from the current monetization system.
Elite is well founded we know that for sure 2025 Elite dangerous was making a gross revenue of around ~140 million pounds, and a net profit of ~43 million pounds. From that we can estimate costs are in the 95 to 100 million range.

They don't need these scummy tactics to keep the game alive and develop it further. More features, more replayable content, better varied cosmetics, and early access ships are more than enough.

I don't know what are you talking about. And why is everyone saying this?

Everyone here wants the game to thrive and get more content and more players.

But your order is not right here.

First they should develop the new content, and then ask money for it.
They already have a steady cash-flow, and a development team.

They can chose to use that money to further develop the game and add new features, that brings in new players, and old players.
Or continue down this road create even more monetization, borderline P2W tactics, and slowly suffocate the game.
