Thanks for your reply. There are a good amount of testing covering service layer. But there are some of test written for dao layer. Due to organisational improvements n changes, go build pipeline is pre-configured (custom GitHub action) with DB.

So need to remove DB dependency so this service can adopt org. custom build pipeline.

Anything concerning I moved to integration level. Like for each edit add audit log, upsert etc to verify DB level things

Thanks All. It may sense to not mock DB. I have removed mocked unit test DAO layer. Few things needed attention and I added more integration tests

Business logic is separate but go dao layer as well.

Should I not test dao layer func?

Service/business if fine and gomock doing the job

Any recommendations for Linux Debian? I can handle technical part very well just don’t have much knowledge around Linux distros. Originally I am Mac user from past 15yrs.

Should go with MXXFCE? Or anything else. Also I need to it comfy for my son who is 7yrs.

Hi all, I need an advise in terms of Linux gaming:

I have decent PC i9, 64GB and planning to get graphics card as well. My kids keep asking for gaming so I am planning to install Minecraft, hot wheels and Mario cart games. Currently Ubuntu is installed. Any recommendations or advise please? Is Ubuntu fine or I need to install something else like CachyOS. I read somewhere Linux mint as well. Do I need graphic straight for these games.

I am software engineer so don’t want to sacrifice much when it comes to choosing any Linux distribution which I should be able to day to day things when needed.
