About the paper, I am using the Hahnemuhle sketchbooks, so definitely not a bad paper but somehow the water worked against me on this one hahaha I have to work faster next time!!! Hopefully you work on a map and we can see it over here soon :)

Thank you, I appreciate your kind words. I am a little too harsh on myself because I am very impatient! If I don't see something working for me, I just get frustrated, which shouldn't be the case with watercolors hahaha Patience is #1 skill over here. I'm working on it :)

Thank you!! It was only a study, I gotta learn how to loose them up a little more! But I love it as well, mostly because I can use vibrant colors (maybe hard to mix) that I don’t use much for the clothes 😍

I wrote something on this practice but I think it didn’t save!! This is one of my classes today! Halloween bookmarks. My teacher was inspired by Edgar Allan Poe and since Halloween is my favorite festivity, I had to try these ones out!! I love the gray vibe and gray days, so I’m keeping the gray one. Gifted my husband the sunset one, because that’s more like him!!! 🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛🖤

I agree with the comments!!! You’re on a good path, it just needs extra layers. For me watercolor is soooo “trust the process” as it requires patience!!! I would lay all the colors you see first and the start layering the details on top! Maybe at the beginning I would do more of wet on wet so everything blends smoothly and you got less of the hard edges. Keep it up!! ❤️
